question for ttom: whats the reputation for univ. edinburgh in the UK? I dont know much about the school. Any info would be enlightening, especially what theyre doing in evolutionary bio, since I know you are doing work in that...or was it zoology? oh well close enough.

Aye its rep is really good although Glasgow does more Zoology/Ecology kind of stuff than Edinburgh does. Its the Vet school at Edinburgh thats really renowned there.
