Why is it that when a girl breaks up with a guy,often for some of the dumbest reasons, that they say that they want to 'be friends?' It's NEVER true! I recently have been attempting to maintain a friendship with an individual who untill recently I considered an awesome person (named Kat.)
I left one phone message: "Hello there Kat, sorry I missed you. I just wanted to see how things were going, and if you were going to be available this weekend to hang out. Anyways call me back whenever you get the chance."
well a month passes, so I send an email. "What's up? It's been a while, just wondering how things are going. Started on another project around the house today. anyways reply whenever. I'll be here."
Well her reply basically accuses me of being crazy, blames me for ALL the problems in the relationship, said that I broke her heart when I wanted to break up with her, and that she doesn't appreciate me trying to butt into her life.
Hold up a second here. Wasn't it YOU who said that you wanted to remain friends? Wasn't it YOU who broke up with me while listening to a fat slob of a bitch whom is known to rant about miscelaneous bullshit wthout any basis of truth? Didn't I say many times that I never said ANY of those words, and that I still wanted to be with you? Oh, and one more thing, wasn't it YOU who turned back to hard drugs (acid and ecxtasy) to relieve stress from the breakup that you inflicted upon yourself???
OK. Reality check Kathryn. YOU are the one that no longer has a concept of a clear mind. All the acid that you are STILL doing is clinically proven to deteroriate brain chemistry, altering perceptions and memories permanently. YOU are the one that broke MY heart, when I needed you the most. YOU are the one that told me that Joy always ranted in class, not knowing what the hell she was talking about, and YOU BELIEVED HER!!! YOU have MANY trust issues, among others, and are a very unfit to become anyone's mother. YOU are the one that ate day old pizza, fried eggs, bacon, sausage, and fatty beef, and blamed ME as the reason that you gained weight (which by the way, WAS NOT an issue in my eyes, just your happiness [it still is.])
YOU need to seek some therapy and some rehab. You don't need to be putting yourself under the emense stress of grad school. You are going to destroy yourself on this current path. And if you treat all your friends the same way that you treated me, you will have a lonely grave.
LEARN TO FORGIVE!!! LEARN TO KEEP YOUR WORD!!!! LEARN TO TELL THE TRUTH!!! and LAY OFF THE DRUGS!!!!! COME BACK TO EARTH AND I WILL STILL BE THERE FOR YOU MY FRIEND!!! GET HELP KAT HAWKS!!!!!
Oh, and Lana, telling someone that you are doing some soul searching because you aren't over an ex is not the same thing as losing interest in a person because of a rumor and some old pictures. and withholding that knowledge for a significant time is the exact same thing as lying.
Also, telling someone when they are trying to appologize for overreacting that they are diagnosed with something potentially terminal, and deciding to withhold future diagnosiss from someone who genuinely cares about you is one of the most cold hearted, childish actions any woman can take. I CRIED MYSELF TO SLEEP THE NEXT 3 NIGHTS, wondering if you were going to be OK.
