It's slipping away
Any grip I had on life is gone
I'm back to who I was
Who I wanted to escape
I'm back to getting my fucking high
I'm only going backwards
I need support
I need saving
But who will save me?
I've tried to do it alone
but I regress
I'm back inside my shell
Back in my secret hell
No one knows me again
Did I ever change?
Was I really happy?
Or was I taking shelter?
An insane refuge?
I miss it like hell
I liked myself then
I smiled, I saw goodness in others
I enjoyed company
Look at me now
I am gone
The man you saw only reared his head once
He's been in the hole for 5 years
He was coaxed out, but abandoned instantly
Will he ever return?
God, I hope so
Life sucks without him.
