here I sit
with tortellini
parked in front of the screen
mismatched meal
of indian spinach sauce
it makes my tastebuds scream
background soundtrack
on rotation
music feeds the
imagination
mind's all slowed down
used up
dead
three jobs and school've
ruined my head
oil change
precalculus
spanish, gym and bills
haircut
groceries
blew a tire coming over the hill
locked my keys up in the car
and didn't even know it
had to call the tow truck man
to break in, not to tow it
having fun
illegal amounts
dancing
drinking
free
but this busy craziness
is bound to catch up with me
here I sit
with tortellini
this poem just gets rougher
for when you spread yourself too thin
some things are sure to suffer.

"spanish, gym and bills" reminds me of a night I spent in college in various states of undress.
