why don't you go with the one that explodes suddenly right when you are on level 9? If you get real lucky you might even perish in the ensuing inferno.

P.S: Having been a PC gamer all my life (my only console was the PS1), I find that the PC will always beat any console in sheer variety of games you can play and stuff you can do in games. Viruses, constant upgrading, and crashes notwithstanding. There is so much you can't do without a mouse/keyboard.

Aside from the Wi's abilities, a PC is vastly superior to all consoles.
Halo always gets the press, but Unreal Tournament is a god compared to it.

But you really can't go wrong with a Playstation. There's something to the tune of 1,000,000 great games for that system. Castlevania is always a favorite. And might I also suggest playing the PS remake of Chrono Trigger.

Definately 360. Almost all the games pwn on that system. PS3 is an overpriced paper weight with NO good games. Wii is for fat people trying to get skinny.

wii is fucking stupid. The games suck and it plays like a cross between an Atari 2600 and a bologna fucking sandwich.
X-box 360 owns.

I had a 360, and damn did I get bored of it fast, in fact I sold it to a friend recently. The games just aren't all that good. Gears of War was a laugh for a bit, but got very tedious. Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfare was just fucking annoying. Burnout Revenge was good for a laugh when you're stoned with your mates. I could go on, but there's just no innovation; mostly just re-hashing the same genre of games with shiny new graphics. The only game I really enjoyed on the 360 was Condemned, but it was way too fucking short, around 5/6 hours, and I'm only an average gamer. Scary as shit though.
I've only played a Wii a couple times and it's a great laugh. It helps to have a pile of friends and several bottles of whiskey, though the single player games are enjoyable too. In terms of graphics it's not much cop, but in the way it plays and controls it's amazing.
The PS3 can lick my balls as far as I'm concerned. I played one about a year ago through a friend in a video game company and it just sucks. Unless you're rich enough to have a fucking gigantic television that's all hi def and whatever. My shitty £60 telly that I bought from a supermarket didn't do the graphics justice, but I'm not about to go and buy a new telly just for the sake of a console.
Buy a DreamCast and a N64. Together they have some of the funnest and greatest games ever.

i find the ps3 although high priced is the best buy if you already have a ps1 or 2 or psp considering it has the abillity to be backwards compatible. simply keep all your old games and sell the old systems itll make back a few bucks.
the 360 also does this, but most people have more ps1 and ps2 games than those that have the xbox
though i am an rpg guy which leans me to the ps3, if thats not your bag, then the WII would probly be your best choice, it will paly gamecube, and many polular games are multiplatform. and if you dont mind repurchasing old games, it does have access to the entire back library of the nes, snes, n64, jaguar, and sega libraries.
but you would need to have the whole acess to the network thing. the wii also runs the risk of not producing as much in the ways of game variety, like the gamecube, its library of new games will be vastly more limited.
the 360 really doesnt appeal much to me, simply because the exlusive games to the 360 are also available for the pc. there really isnt anything for the xbox you cant play on windows or on the other consoles. the xbox 360, although impressive, to me is a waste.
thats my 2 cents

Don't buy a PS3, hands down. It's overpriced with hardware it doesn't utilize and a format no one needs.
360 v. Wii is all about what your preferences are. Graphics-intense shooters? 360. Neat innovation and creative gameplay mechanics? Wii.
