The round 1 entries were certainly an interesting assortment. The variety and scope of the lot exceeded my expectations, and hopefully, yours. Some impressed. Some disappointed.
The same, of course, can be said for the reviews of these entries.

If that's the case and the times are correct, then you're right, Shlong- I was typing an actual review of Joey's poem, and I went 7 seconds over the deadline. But the math below looks like it took that into consideration.

As for my 'alters', I have but one. When it was used, it was used on BOTH pieces in the match up to drop the same rating on each.
I'd say the one using alters in the attempt to change an outcome was whichever one of you owns 'feety'. I mean, whoever used that prenatal alter cheated if we want to look at influencing ratings as cheating. Shit, Orgasmatron has stated that Stagger_Lee is his alter numerous times and that is the account which caused me to lose.
TWO uses of an alter in the attempt to effect the outcome of matches... one so his girlfriend can win, and one to knock out someone he doesn't like. I can just imagine the email traffic that flew around as you decided how to do it.
THEN, to top it all off you imply that I would purposefully use an alternate account to cause you to lose next time.
How about not throwing stones when we're ALL living inside of this glass house, 'kay?

Honestly, this is cracking me up. I could care less if O's entry was two days late or two minutes late, it is an Internet competition. There is no money involved, there is no honor involved, hell there is nothing involved, but a kick here or there. Honestly, what are you going to do, put down in a resume I won the SUPA contest on Uber?
This competition is for enjoyment only. The reviews have been fantastic and all this Uberdrama has been a kick in the pants, good times by all.
If Shlongy wins this thing, hell, more power to him. There can never be fairness on a website that is all about not being fair, and basically being what ever you want to be.
Anyway, I have enjoyed everyone's submissions, and all this uberdrama pushes O farther up the MVA, and I have a feeling that O has placed a target on number of hits before he leaves this place, him and Axotol figured out a way to move up quickly and they both exceled at it. Power to the Uber.

Darko indeed has a valid point. And so do you.
The whole reason I avoided using "midnight" as the deadline was to not confuse people or have them constantly ask what it means. "Midnight Tues/Wed" to one person can mean 12AM Tues/Wed morning and 12AM Tues/Wed night to another. A twenty four hour difference is huge, so in an effort to make it easier and more digestable I figured I'd go with 11:59.
But you're right in that the interpretation should be BY 11:59:00 and not after, because if I had gone with a midnight deadline I would have done so figuring that anything after 12:00:00 was late.
And so by raising this issue, I have looked into it and can confirm that your account is correct.
This experience has taught me that my PC clock and Ubertime are off by somewhere between 45 seconds and a minute. The more you know...

So you know, I had every intention of taking a DQ if ahumblefool had protested the late submission. As it stands it doesn't matter anyway, because he destroyed me. I've always tried to take the opponent's feelings into consideration in things like this so as to avoid blindly dropping the axe. Technically I could have just DQ'd Thorns for his post, and DQ'd myself for mine, but as coley and AHF appeared cool with it - and they were the only ones being affected - I let it slide.

As it was not stated anywhere that alter votes would not count, an army of alters have been playing merry hell. Orgasmatron stuck by this with Foolproof's entry in R1, which meant Alter madness was obviously going to be rife in R2.
Because nowhere did it state "alter's votes don't count."
Neither did it state "bribery, cheating or any politics are not acceptable."
But what it DID say was:

i think shlongy has a shot at winning the whole thing.
looks like my work was vastly inferior to my competitors this round (pfffft, as if) so i'll be writing his for round 3 since I don't have anything to do.
hell, if you need help i'll whip something up for you THIS round, Woody. the one i submitted only took me about 30-40 minutes. i'll give you a deal and bill my time out at...let's say...$250 an hour. if it takes me 15 minutes to best whomever your competition is, and really it shouldn't take any longer, it'll only run you $62.50

When I put this together I didn't want it to be too busy with guidelines or rules, but I did ask a few things from anyone who wanted to participate. Your recent post breaks two of them.
- Your entry must be original.
- Audio or video presentations are not allowed.
Your post is original in the sense that you wrote it, yes, but it's also ten years old. The point of this is not to post unearthed pieces from an existing catalogue, but to come up with something new each week and keeping the playing field level for everyone. I see you asked people to not review it based on the file's merit, but I think we both know that no one here tends to listen to suggestion.
If your competitor's fine with you posting an older piece, I'd ask that you repost without the mp3.
