Here are some rather magnificent night time shots of four different cities from around the globe. To the Uber users in London, I apologize that London's not in this one, but she'll be featured in next weeks collection.

There's more stuff in Sydney than the Opera House and the Bridge, you know.

True darkness is rarely experienced by city people, which is a real shame.

I love flying into cities at night. Seeing everything moving and spread out like a harvest of lights. It's like looking at ant colonies, only the ants are all distracted with bills and television and sex and envy.

One time, I flew into San Francisco at night, and there was heavy fog - the only part of the city one could see was the tip of the TransAmerica building...it looked like a tiny pyramid perched on the sands...

I love how cities sometimes look like they're floating, if it's dark enough in the surrounding countryside.

Those pictures of New York are current. 9-11 never happened; it was all staged in the same studio they used to fake the moon landing and count the votes in the recent uber contest.

Dubai is really a beautiful place.

months, I want you to break it off.

Marge: Um, okay, Homer.

Homer: Whoof! That was a close one, kids.
