I've always hated goodbye posts, but I'm going to have to be an ass and leave one.
Over the course of the last two years, I've given out far too much information about myself online. I can't be a part of this site anymore, nor at any time in the foreseeable future. To the three or four Uberusers who know my real email address, remember that I'm young and that I regret having given it out. I'll have my alter Harbinger finish up the last parts of my Invasion series, to those of you who were reading it.
Let me apologize for my posts on Ubersite. The concept of an unmoderated free-speech forum intrigued me, and I was, and still am, young. I'm sorry for anything offensive that I have posted.
You can reach me at bergentimes at yahoo.com, but I want nothing to do with this site again. Thanks for keeping me entertained.

Ax, Shlongy has a good point. We give each other shit because this place is about fun. I don't hate him and I hope he doesn't hate me. Many things become much clearer when you get older, and one of them is that the fears of youth are often unfounded.
Someone can Google my real name, which I posted under in my early posts. Although my last name Udell is not the most common in the world, an internet search will show a shitload of "Me" out there. There are doctors, lawyers, corporate biggies, and scumbags with the same name as mine.
Who's to say which one posted here? (Yeah, I'm the scumbag. Thanks, Shlongy)
Orgasmatron: Your idea of an Uber scholarship is actually an excellent idea. I'd kick in some cash for that, and I agree that Ax would be worthy.

AXOLOTL: Kid, you are a very bright person. You have a comprehension of life well beyond your years, and I think it will take you very far. Again, you may be over-reacting to the situation, but better safe than sorry. I seriously expect you to do great things. I may be dead and gone by the time it happens, given the 40 years difference in our ages, but maybe I'll have the chance to look down (up?) and think, "I knew him when he was a kid and one of the better posters on Uber."

Good luck on college. Get an alter. Actually, that probably won't fool too many as you have a 'style' of writing that would be hard to mask.
I agree that there is probably not some admissions person googling every application. They'd never get anything done. Heck - if I google my name I get dozens of others with the same name. Then they'd have to sort through which is which, yadda, yadda.

While I certainly understand what you mean, because there is nothing i regret more than using my real name on this website and having my picture on this website, i don't think you've posted anything that could matter.
of course, i've been saying for years, i would kill to have hte capability to edit or remove posts at some leve. what's going to happen when an ex-uberer is running for office, or up for an executive position at a public company, and a post on uber about bjs and sloots comes up in a background check.
i believe it's morally wrong to prevent us from removing all references to our real-life person.

By the way, you've always been one of my favorites folks here.
Honestly, though, I don't think I've seen anything terribly bad happen here. Just people fucking around, with a few serious writers. There's a lot of nasty shit out there; Uber's kind of a bright spot, actually. I can't imagine that there are worthy employers/school administrators that really give a shit what goes on here. There are my two cents.

Yep, that there is an ampersand.
In addition to what wikipedia says, in Walden, Thoreau uses it like so "&c." to mean Etc. It looks alot more like Etc. in the copy of the book I have (which is an old copy). I even seen that use anywhere else though so that use is probably considered archaic at this point.

I didn't want to make this a big deal, list-everyone-you-like-and-don't-like affair, but I'll say this:
I never hated anyone on this site. Annoyed by, maybe, but for the most part you were all cool people. Badassmofo, Circe, Lungfish, Pentameter, certainly Shlongy, you make it look fun to get old. You younger lot, Kaos, Matron, and the rest, look like the cream of the crop of your generation in intelligence--but I guess you have to be intelligent to survive on Ubersite.
Thanks for all the stories, shenanigans, and relief of boredom. I've grown up tremendously in the time I've been here. And as much as I feel the same, I've matured.
I'll come back when I'm in college. I promise.
