One of my final briefs at Uni this year was to create a video for a new Thom Yorke song called 'The Clock'. Initially I hated the song as I think Yorke is a stuck up cunt, but gradually it grew on me, though I've got to admit it still reminds me of a lonely whale stuck in a glass of water singing. When you hear the song, you'll know what I mean.
Anyway, my concept for this ended up being about twilight, and I morbidly named the whole project 'The Twilight of Our Existence'. Lovely, no? I had to write a whole lot of arty bollocks, despite this being a design course, to justify my methods but it boils down pretty simply.
1) The film is shot in the evening to show the world getting darker.
2) It's shot using time-lapse (my weapon of choice) to have a sort of speeded up view of the darkness descending. Oh, and I was standing in frame for about an hour and a half before I thought fuck this and went back inside, that's when you can see the light appear like magic from behind my head.
3) I'm wearing a gas mask for the duration, to emphasise where we all might be in a few years if we don't stop fucking up the planet.
All in all I'm quite happy with the subtletly of the piece (I was originally going to stand there holding a clock, but that would have been wank) and I've mastered the technique of uploading non grainy video to youTube, so here you go.

I'm probably as pretentious as Yorke is, and I really love that album. Your video was nice, if a little uneventful. But, as you said down below, that was the point. Where did you get that gas mask anyway? I want one.

I got it from a surplus store. £13. Fucking useless in any kind of chemical attack I'd imagine, but I love wearing it at parties and freaking people out. I woke my girlfriend up once lying in bed next to her wearing that and a codpiece from a Blackadder costume. Priceless.

Well, I actually own the album (paid money for it in a mu-sic-sto-re, who ever does that anymore, eh?), and that's the worst song on there.

Actually, him and his mates from Uni (the band) are friends of my ex who all went to the same Uni in Oxford. When one of them was getting married I was invited (and would have met Thom!) but stupidly broke up with the guy a week before the wedding. Should've waited.
