ok so this is message #1
I remember hearing a long time ago that the internet was bad for you. I myself enjoy using the internet in all its many splendored forms-I like e-mail, online research, games, shopping, and chatting. However I've noticed that on days when i spend a lot of time online I tend to feel a little down.
I was wondering if other people have experienced this, and here's a link to a site that discusses a study done on Internet Depression.
Anyway, check it out.

i'm on the internet all day at work, but trust me, i have too much face to face contact here as it is. i don't spend much time on the internet at home becuase beer, bars, videogames, chicks (the actual fleshy tactile kind), and friends (again, the fleshy kind) are more fun. not necessarily in that order of course

but seriously-does anyone get a feeling of depression from prolonged internet use?
cause i'd definetly go nutzo at work if i didn't have it, but there's something to be said for actual face to face interaction...i think the internet makes you feel lonely cause it lets you see that there are all these people doing all this cool stuff, but then you don't really know them and aren't involved in the cool stuff at all.

I get tired from staring at CRT screens. I bet they'll be linked to brain cancer years from now.
