well, its July 21st. here on guam its liberation day..the day allied forces liberated guam from imperial japan.
yeah. every single business is closed..execpt the one i work for. a quarter mile down the road there is a parade, mad bbq's..insane amounts of drinking. i am here at work.
now, all last week, i voiced my opinion, literally stating that being open today would result in a loss of revenue...as there would be no business, all of are clients would be celebrating...i was basically told to sit down and shut up.
well guess what..not one phone call, all the clients the account managers had booked me for today are closed. but i am not allowed to go home...something might come up. yeah, a nulcear weapon might go off.
its like marti gras, and your stuck inside....wasting it go over service manuals.
do i say fuck it and jet...or be submissive and miss the festivities?

if there is no boss there you should just open the place up for a party.invite the bikini clad parade girls in for a beverage or a meal there is probaly enough left over lunchs in the fridge from co-workers to feed an army.you can limbo under a phone cord or have a wet t-shirt contest with the fire extinguishers etc...
work can be fun.
