From the Asheville Citizen-Times
Washington - President Bush could make the controversy over the now-infamous 16 words of his State of the Union address go away by telling Americans whether the speech's justification for war was exaggerated, the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Sunday.
"It's just a question of was it right or was it wrong?" Sen. Jay Rockefeller said.
He said the question is not whether Bush tried to mislead by using suspect British government information that Iraq sought to buy uranium in Africa, and that Democrats should not personalize or politicize the argument.
"Intelligence is the basis now of war-fighting," Rockefeller, D-W.Va., said on "Fox News Sunday." Because of that, he said, "it's very important to intelligence to say that facts really do matter, they count, they have to be accurate."
Speaking up for the Bush administration, House Speaker Dennis Hastert said on the same program that the decision to include the sentence "was made by the speechwriters and by the folks in the White House" using various intelligence sources that were thought reliable. **If it wasn't, he said much of the blame falls on former President Clinton.**
Is it me, or is that too stupid to be a sentence?

"Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa." [2003 State of the Union]
Oh yea sex with a consenting adult is MUCH worse than starting a war for no fucking reason.

How about perjury? Not to mention the dozen or so other scandals the Clintons were implicated in but were able to convince people they kept their hands clean. So Bush went to war with Iraq for oil according to you? Are we really worse off with Saddam gone?
How about Clinton sending troops into the Balkans? So there was a little genocide and ethnic cleansing going on, and all of a sudden the US has to get involved...right when Clinton was under investigation by a special prosecutor. We ignored the fighting there until it was politically convenient for him.
As President you are a public figure, perhaps the most prominent public figure in the entire world. I think you should at least try and uphold some standard of morals. Many on this site don't think much of marriage it seems, but no one thinks they should cheat on their wife. How is it ok to have sex with someone, lie about it under oath, use pressure to get someone else a job, and use your position to steal?
What about the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of furnishings that were taken from the White House when the Clintons left? What about Marc Rich(sp?) who essentially bought a pardon? Or Hillary shopping for a Senate seat. Oh, I'm sorry, she must be a great Senator for a state she had never been to until running for Senate.
Don't bother making wild accusations against Bush. SO you don't like the guy, I'm just saying Clinton was worse.
I'm tired and bored of this.
Clinton sucked.

You want one example of why Clinton was a horrible president, how about two:
1) That depends on what the definition of "is" is
2) He fucking broke the law, it was on tape that he clearly broke the law, and partisan politics let him walk away

Clinton was the worst president of the modern era, even worse than Carter or W. Bush.
