I often look at the people in my office and think to myself - "surely they don't want to be here, as much as I don't...wouldn't they rather be seeing the world or getting drunk or laid or stoned or reading a good book or doing sports or bungee jumping or just being OUTSIDE". I hate being indoors so much. I feel sedentary and trapped.

Hey thank you all for your comments and support. Really. It's nice to feel 'ready' to show myself to Uber after the 9 months or so that I've posted here. Coincidence? I cannot believe you even used the word friend in that sentence. She sounds like a fucking bitch. Reminds me of a time when I was in still in college. I went to school weighing around the 130's. It was very skinny for my height of 5'7. I gained about 30 pounds. I didn't gain these pounds because of gorging or laying on my ass. I had a boyfriend/fiancé that liked to wine and dine on the weekends. I love good food! I "friends" with a girl who was always a large girl to begin with. Well she told every one I was fucking pregnant because I gained so much weight in such a short amount of time. Especially in the chest area. What the fuck? It does sound like a juvenile story but having some one talk about an issue you were self-conscience about hurts. Its ok. I am now content with my body no matter what size. As long as I am active by running or doing some type of physical activity. Its gets those good endorphins running through your body. I might not be a miniature women but I still look and feel fucking good.

Yeah, that pisses me off too. When I was in Milan, I taught English in a company out in the suburbs and cycled for an hour to get there then an hour back. People always said "why don't you just use public transport??". I hate the "just"... as though what they're saying is somehow obviously the best solution. At first I actually used public transport (metro, train and tram) to get to the damn place and it took two hours each way. If I'd had a car (I never have and I never will) it would have taken 30 mins - 2 hours depending on traffic, involved buying a car, and I wouldn't have lost 10 kilos.

In fact that is just a percentage of all the I HATE FAT PEOPLE type posts on Uber, go on, do a search on the word 'fat'. 25 posts alone (I'm not including Rizzo's 'I'm destined to die a fat fuck' as although I haven't read it yet I'm assuming he wasn't insulting anyone except perhaps himself).
Unfortunately appearances seem to matter greatly on Ubersite. What about all those pics from uglypeople.com etc folks are so fond of putting up. Then we have fat people picking on other fat people, where is it going to end?
You might say, well what 'those' strangers say doesn't matter, you should only worry about what your nearest and dearest think about you. In that case let me tell you this: my family have insulted me far worse over my life than strangers, no wonder I'm fucked up.
It's always going to be a contentious issue but I'm glad that the people I think a lot of here say they don't care what I look like. Even if most of you are strangers living on the other side of the world. It makes me think a lot of you.
Maybe I need to toughen my shell.
