I watched the movie "Déjà Vu" the other day and as horrible as it was, it got me thinking.
It reminded me of a movie out there with a young Owen Wilson... he's in a cab, I think, explaining his theory on dreams. I wish I knew the title.
His explanation was that when both life changing and marginal decisions are made in everyday life, the result of the unmade decision continues on, just not in this dimension.
I see it as a giant oak tree. The trunk is essentially your life as you know it. The branches, the leaves and the little veins within every leaf represent every decision you NEVER made.
I buy this concept.
It easily explains the phenomenon of déjà vu and dreams.
Somehow, your mind subconsciously and continuously records these unmade decisions deep within the uncharted, subterranean parts of the brain. When you dream, your brain is essentially remembering some form, although obviously abstractly from time to time, of the paths in life un-chosen. At the same time, déjà vu is similar, although more logically oriented. Clearly, *unmade decision life paths* will inevitably weave in and out of *made decision life paths* as a result of a thing called destiny. Some life events will occur regardless of the number of choices you make to arrive there. Some *unmade* choices will arrive at these conclusions sooner than actually *made* choices. So, when a destiny is reached through the greater number of choices, it has already been previously recorded deep within your mind, resulting in déjà vu.
Don't get me wrong, I don't believe that you're destined to be something, somebody or that your entire life is already predetermined. I do strongly believe, however, that some life lessons or events are inevitable. The path of your life is always changing; each new decision is influenced by how you reacted to the previous one. These reactions are ANYTHING but predetermined.
They evolve.
Fuck.
I need a drink.
Oh, and by the way, that fucking Denzel Washington is a racist. Ever since the movie "He Got Game," Mr. Washington refuses to have a love scene with a white woman... it's in his contract.
What THE HELL is WRONG with Milla Jovovich??!?!
Oh... and here's a list of the cities with the worst road rage as according to Yahoo! Associated Press:
1. Miami
2. New York
3. Boston
4. Los Angeles
5. Washington, D.C.
6. Phoenix
7. Chicago
8. Sacramento, Calif.
9. Philadelphia
10. San Francisco
11. Houston
12. Atlanta
13. Detroit

There's no way Houston is that low.
And Pittsburgh shouldn't even make the list at all.
