When I was living in Los Angeles, I used to buy all my records from an awesome little place called Rhino Records. The staff were awesome, they had most of the stuff I like to listen to... All in all a great record store.
An example of their excellence: I wanted to get my hands on a copy of 'Closure', a double video box set by NIN, one tape early shows, the other music videos. VHS only. Out of print. I thought it'd take ages to get, and be quite expensive. I paid $25 in total and was watching it 3 days later.
I didn't think life could get much better until I heard about a promotion they were doing. One Saturday, they decided that they would clear some of their shelves, and some of the shit they had in storage. Rather than have a sale or whatever, they did something completely different. Spend $10 in the store, then go out back to the parking lot and pick up literally as much music as you can carry. I think I bought a copy of Parklife by Blur and then went to the lot. Music heaven greeted me. I soon found, by watching the technique of others, that the best way to get as much as possible was to pick up 4 or 5 vinyls, so you had a base to build up a tower of CDs. You can fit 4 stacks of CDs on top of a record sleeve.
I ended up with about 4 or 5 hundred albums. A lot were shite, some were awesome. Hesher and Earth to Andy along with a few others are now favourites. The best find, however, was '22 Songs that You'll Never Want To Hear Again', by Darkbuster who probably curse the Dropkicks for being such a big Boston punk band.
There aren't a lot of places to listen to their music on the internet, but they do have 2 excellent albums, '22 Songs' and 'A Weakness for Spirits', which is practically melted into my CD player at home.

Not my personal favourite skin song, much prefer Punks'n'Skins by Oi! Polloi, but a damn good anthem and their only real music video!

Pretty shitty sound on this one, but it's a great track. I got this put on the jukebox at my local, back when it was a kick ass bar. It was stolen within 2 weeks. I was proud.
