This has nothing to do with "self-respect". Choosing to -2 someone has nothing to do with the amount of respect one has for one's self. At all.
Don't try to pull a guilt trip on us, by dragging OUR morals into this, just because you have none.
If anything, -2ing your account would be out of a lack of respect FOR YOU.
