You are human. You are a greedy, grubby, inconsiderate, self-serving and innately destructive creature. A misleadingly complex lifeform, driven largely by it's base needs. You sex, you sleep, you eat, you defecate. At the risk of sounding Gaian in my idealogy, you pollute. Boiling it down to something more basic, you do not have the capacity to recognise consequences of your actions, you cannot prevent yourself from fouling your own nest. Both figuratively and literally. In both the physical world and your relationships to other humans.
And at this point, some of you are doubtlessly thinking "but hang on, you're human too". Oh, ye brilliant ones. Congratulations, you have spotted the flaw in my otherwise infallible logic.
The thing with humans is this; we are so easy to loathe en masse. But some, an endearing few, redeem themselves through actions or thoughts. They redeem themselves by being, in and of themselves, worthwhile.
