FALLEN- Trust me, in my lifetime, I have eaten at Tahou's more times than all of your friends combined.
Hell, I was at Nick Sr.s' funeral.
For example, my last trip to Rochester last August.
I got in on a Thurday night- had a garbage plate at 5pm on the way FROM the airport to my friends house.... we went to Fairport. Then, to the Northside for dinner at 8:30pm.
My pal had to work on Friday before we could leave for Saratoga so I had his car- he got a ride in to work.
I went BACK to Tahou's for lunch on Friday (so that's twice in 18 hours)...then to Amiel's in Henrietta for subs to go for the drive to Saratoga.
We got back on Sunday night and I made a last stop at Wegman's for a bunch of Zweiegel's Hots to take back with me on Sunday.
So, yes, I love Tahou's...probably more than any restaurant in the world.

Tahou's is a big disappointment these days. The one on Main closes at 8pm every night, and the one in Gates is owned by Nick's son who can no longer use the name "Tahou" or the hot sauce recipe. It's crap.
Man...I remember the days of my youth when a bar closing was ALWAYS followed by a drunken trip ot Nick's for a plate.

I used to LIVE in the city and all of my hangouts, for the most part, were in the city but my last couple of quick visits, I stay with a friend in Penfield so because of our drinking problems and subsequent DRIVING problems, we tend to stay on the east side.

I spent three days for a bachelor party and barely left the Palms. We had a blast. I lost my shirt in craps but rallied hard at the blackjack tables on the last day to come home a couple hundred up. Better than the 2 g's I expected to lose.
No bunny ranch. The idea was actually on the table at one point, but a party of 6 young ladies from Texas kept us occupied from most of the weekend. The Rhino, however...I think I may have just bought them a new wing.
As for Shlongy and his NY trips...I'll be in vacationing at Skaneatelese Lake and in Saratoga for the race in August. You couldn't pay me to set foot in that craphole Binghamton, though.

If you drive out to the new Red Rocks casino just a few miles from the strip, you will find the most fantastic brunch buffet known to man. And I hate buffets. But this one has everything from shrimp cocktail to sushi to mexican to pizza to ribs to steaks to pasta and everything in between, and everything is positively delicious. Plus a sorbet/gelato/ice cream bar as well as regular desserts.
And the casino is classy and gorgeous. My dad did the fine woodwork detailing on the walls, ceilings, etc.

we got married in vegas, the wife and I that is.
we spent a week out there, grand total around 6k.
we got married at the Excalibur by a dude dressed as Merlin.
have fun, the Golden Nugget has the best lunch buffet, Tropicana for breakfast and fuck if I know for dinner.
