So for this fine little endeavor - http://www.ubersite.com/m/101072 - I had to come up with words to suit an image of Rob's. This time, he had to come up with some sort of visual representation of something I'd written. Both my efforts and his were done independently, sight unseen - no checking with the original artist, no mutual review period. Just pure, raw inspiration styrofoam-boxed and loaded with additives for part of your complete breakfast.
Do enjoy. And before you move on and complain please note: this was intentionally created as a horizontal presentation. Yes, we know Uber isn't built for that. Yes, we know that scrolling doesn't suit your ADD entertain-me entertain-me cheep-cheep-cheep lifestyle. All apologies and such.

This is very cool and certainly worth a +2, but I found the poetry a bit uneven.
Sometimes there's a masterful turn of phrase and sometimes your phrases don't make sense when broken down.
The images were very interesting, but it might have been cool to see a smoother segue with those first two, especially. Or maybe not.
I really liked this, though.
Really nice.

Not entirely, the O part really sucks shit as well.
---
Well - to each their own. I thought the poem was fantastic and I'm a big fan of me - so together I think the result is a true work of art.
Of course, 'art' is completely subjective and obviously appreciated on different levels.
Personally I can't help but speculate that your relative dislike of me impacts your particular appreciation - but only you can determine that for certain.
Your opinion, however, is noted. Thanks for your participation.
--------------------
Truth? I don't particularily like it, but that's me, and I'm picky with art and poetry. On the other hand I can see its relative merit, and it's an unique (for Ubersite) idea you two are playing with, so carry on. Hence the lack of a neg 2.

Do you feel it's too long? Are some of the images not to your liking?
I'm curious where your distaste lies.

I'd guess it starts with 'rob' and ends with 'berg'.
And who doesn't hate that fucking _ in the middle?

I bought Anansi Boys in an airport. I should get around to that too.

Yeah, Shlongy, the A's always do well. That's why they have 9 World Series wins.
The Cardinals have 10.
:)
Pujols, even with an absolutely shit April AND May, is tied for something like 9th in home runs this season, his average is floating around the .300 mark (in an OFF year he's batting .300! fuck me)and his fielding has never been bad.
The rest of our offense is on the upswing too.
Like I said last night, I'm not worried at all until after the All-Star break, because that's where it always shakes out. If St. Louis can keep thier heads above water until then, and they can, we'll be fine. We traditionally get really hot after the break. Minus September of last year. But who gives a fuck about September '06...we won the Series.
You wanna make some small wagers on this weekends series?

The A's are red-hot and own the all time , best inter-league record. The Cards?
Nice start to defending their championship this year - AWFUL pitching staff - both the fat boy Pujols is starting to heat up.
I'll be seeing the A's on both July 4 and July 8 in Oakland.

noonie is working with me on the greatest uber collaboration ever, and it will shame these offerings. I'm sure to receive many -2s from Shlongy, which is really just an indicator that it was too deep/well done for him to get and thusly makes the endeavor wholeheartedly worthwhile.
Also, who wants to be on the "Men of Uber: 2008" calendar I'm putting together? Only fatties and zitboys need apply? I had considered doing a womens version as well, but couldn't stomach the idea of looking at any of their faces for that long...
While I'm here, I have a few other things that need to be addressed:
1.) I tried to institute theme days at work and I have had trouble getting people to play along. How does one convince people to participate in "No Pants Friday"?
2.) When one has shaved one's balls, the pubic hair is no longer there to provide a little bit of wicking action on the moisture that can develop in strenuous circumstances,i.e. ballsweat. Is the application of anti-perspirant advisable/acceptable as a temporary stopgap measure until you can hit the showers?
3.) Man, I sure hope the Cardinals sweep Oakland this weekend so I can send Shlongy a nasty, gloating email.
4.) I like being happy. From here on out, I'm Mary Poppins.
5.) Fuck this list, I'm gonna go look at pictures of rainbows and puppies.

It's ok rob. I think the viney nature of the capital H suggests that the letter is, in itself, a sort of garden. Much like the garden mentioned in the first line of the piece. And yet the distance between the beginning of the word and the rest of the poem suggests to the reader a distance, a gap never to bridged. A connection and, yet, a lack. We want them to be together, but we know that even if they make it there will always be distance between them.
I dare say that by originally placing the letter where you did you've really summed up the whole work. Well done, good sir.
