I'm heading down to Georgia with the fiancee on business for a couple weeks. I have a couple days before, after and inbetween when we are going to just be touring around. I'm going to hit Savannah for a few days, but I need some suggestions for some interesting places to check out before and after. If anyone has any good suggestions on places to check out, good hotels, chartered fishing, etc, please feel free to drop a suggestion. But the trendy areas in Atlanta are Little 5 Points (where all the punks and homeless used to hang out before it became touristy but it's still kinda cool) and Virginia Highlands.

Well in Atlanta there's always six flags, there are several civil war parks. My favorite is in Chickamauga, but its hell and gone from Savannah. If you do go to six flags watch out for that Gator in the river they have been blathering about on CNN.

While in Savannah, be sure to go to River Street on the, uh, Savannah River.
Also if you have the time, go up to Atlanta and its many suburbs. Try and check out the new Coca-Cola museum, the aquarium, and Stone Mountain. Paul's restuarant is absolutely amazing, so try and hit that up too.
If you can, see if any bands are playing at the Masquerade or Tabernacle, as those are two awesome concert stages.
