If the government were going to waste its time concocting an elaborate hoax to fool the American people into entering into war with Iraq, and it was already willing to kill its own civilians to reach that end, wouldn't it be simpler and more consistent to ram a plane into the buildings?

Picture it kinda like a bullet - it went in, making a relatively smallish hole and fanned out on the inside. The building collapsed onto the plane, obstructing it's view from the outside, but be damn sure that people who were inside saw it. That crashsite was horrendous, and shit was everywhere. The building was hit so hard, it rocked the entire building like an earthquake. A missle couldn't have done that, considering the Pentagon is so large it takes upwards of 30 minutes to walk across it using the skyway, and it's a 1 hour walk if you're forced to walk the perimeter.

While I can't see any sign of a plane. The argument about eye witnesses is actually pretty good, surely some people would have seen a missle?
I'm deff with you that the whole thing is totally fucked, and I certainly wouldn't put it past them to do it, I can't say with absolute certainty that they did their best to gain out of it, and hindered the investigation to their best abilities. The fact that he gained so much popularity, and was allowed to get away with so much shit after that, says something about the American public.
I dunno, us outside of the US have kinda gotten used to that being American politics.

I fear there are people who are blind to what is in front of them... in all its glory. No huge plane, no massive destruction, no evidence whatsoever... and yet without all of this.. you STILL believe what they are telling you.

No, what is scary is that you will focus on one single picture (that was taken after fire ravaged that portion of the crash area and after clean up began) and use that to justify ignoring hundreds of eyewitness accounts, hundreds of grieving families (of the people on the plane or were they all actors), and many other pictures all to support a poorly though out conspiracy theory.
Plus this would be so much cooler if you had a picture ot tattoo from fantasy Island.

In the picture I will post, the crane has been photoshopped out. If I can photoshop a big ass crane out of a picture, then someone sure as hell can photoshop any debris that MAY be left over along time after initial impact.

At least take a break long enough to look at a picture that shows the *real* extent of the impact damage to the Pentagon facade, which spans well over 150 feet:

Glad to hear your expert opinion on the matter! How many years' service with the NTSB crash investigation team do you have?
It's trivial to find images all over the internet showing crash site debris fields, and in many of them the plane is totally in shreds-- and most crashes aren't intentionally done at full power with a near full load of fuel.
I've seen a Beechcraft Bonanza crash in a departure stall on takeoff, a tiny plane hitting the ground at something on the order of 100mph, and it was in utter fragments. I've also seen a Cessna 172 overshoot a runway and go into a stand of trees at about 80 mph, and the very first thing that happened was the wings were sheared off by treetrunks and turned into twisted scraps of aluminum, while the fuselage went about fifty yards into the woods. Planes do twisted, fucked up, unnatural things when they crash, and that's even without the element of combustible jet fuel and horrific speed.
BTW, not that you're going to listen, but the "those engines didn't come from a 757" argument has been conclusively disproven. All the identifiable parts can be traced back to the specific Rolls-Royce turbojet engine that was used on that specific aircraft. The thing with the size of that compressor disk was based on an incorrect comparison of the big fan blade diameter at the front of the engine, with the hub of the turbine at its rear.

There's a big difference between not seeing a plane, and seeing something that's not a plane. The vast majority of witnesses described seeing something totally consistent with a 757, and totally inconsistent with a missile, drone, F16, or whatever else people are claiming was the substitute impactor. So, yes, it's reasonable to dismiss the outliers.
Just because Bush, Rumsfeld, and Cheney are ideologically blinded, incompetent, Nixonian cocksockets who should be the last people on earth entrusted with the running of a democracy doesn't mean that sometimes, through no fault of their own, what actually happens corresponds with the story that serves their interests.

I think the problem is that there just does not exist an accurate timeline. Not one that I have seen anyways. The 'details' of that day are riddled with inconsistencies, presumption, deflection and at this point a rather prevalent apathy.

What I do know is that I am left greatly unsatisfied with the evidence provided on BOTH sides of the presentation - however it seems there is more 'proof' being offered by the so-called crazy people.
Considering what the pentagon IS - there should be multiple camera shots of that plane hitting the building. Security cameras from neighboring businesses, casual photography - etc. In my casual observations I have not seen any of that. I have seen this photograph - some video of smoke and flames and general chaos after the fact.
The lack of footage is utter bullshit.
Now, I have tried to pay attention to the assorted conspiracy films out there that seem to paint a pretty convincing picture that whatever did hit the pentagon wasn't a plane. Or at least not the plane they claim it was. With all of the vast resources available to the government they should be able to answer these questions - but they don't.
Why? Because only the 'crazy people' seem to really have any interest in having them answered.
The rest of the folks don't really give a shit.

Which part of the plane? It's strewn all over the place. That which didn't end up embedded in the 2nd or 3rd ring of the building was blown all over to hell and begone. Most of the wings were completely shredded upon impact with the reinforced steel columns.
