WARNING - Contents are "Bloggish" in nature
1 - It was late the other night and I ran out of cigarettes. My brother is using a machine to roll his own, so I found an old bag of Menthol tobacco I had in the fridge and made up a handful of smokes. They tasted terrible: almost, quizzically, like soap.
2 - I'll be getting hammered this Friday night. My best friend has just relocated to the next town over for his new job, so we're hitting the local bars. The fact that my favorite dive currently has $2 whiskey sours is a terrifying thought.
3 - Feeling the need for some new music, I just downloaded the latest Bloc Party album. It's quite good. Kinda short, but there aren't any weak tracks. I went looking for some stuff by Gomez as well, but couldn't find very much.
4 - My new digital camera is pretty nice. I spent a bit more than I would have liked, but the cheaper ones weren't Apple/Mac compatible. I got a Kodak EasyShare, so even an idiot like me can figure the damn thing out.
5 - I bought a new cheapy cell phone, too. Just one of those pay-as-you-go things. I went with a Virgin Mobile one because I can buy a $90 card and not have to bother topping up again for a whole year. I'll pay for that fucking convenience.
6 - So... The Girl managed to have her car stolen while she was at work. She had just removed a case of files from it and lugged them to her office, locked them away, came back and the car was gone. She swears she had locked the doors. However, the keys MAY have been in the ignition...
7 - I'm currently reading a collection of short horror stories by Orson Scott Card. Famous for his "Ender" & "Alvin Maker" series, I never knew he had done any horror. They are quite good, very subtle and full of dread.
8 - My 2nd book is tentatively titled "The Glorious & The Wretched." I'm going to have my Ex paint the cover to it as she did the first one. I'm thinking something along the lines of a female Angel covered in blood. I dunno yet.
9 - Last night The Girl and I sat out to watch the storm and drank. She consumed about eight Labatt Blue's and I had almost a whole bottle of vodka. We listened to various mix CD's and then nuked Hotdogs to eat when we decided to sober up. My coffee is essential this morning.
10 - Finally, I give you wonderful Uber Gentlemen (and some ladies) a cute redhead chick to look at....

I'm not going to play psychologist, but I can't help but wonder what has made you assume that any young person who tries to be serious and intelligent MUST just be trying to impress people, and is really shallow on the inside, to the point where you need to make arbitrary psycho-analytic judgements.

Could you please stop telling people what the motives of my actions are? I said what I said because that's what I think. It wasn't a quip. Again, you're speaking for other people. Again, I wouldn't care even if what you said about their thoughts were true.
I'm not "playing" anything; I'm acting the way I believe I should, with no facade. If you think it's clumsy and ridiculous, great; if you think it's stern and mature, great. I haven't considered what impression people will get in my actions one way or another.

Although I'm sure your having seen my sarcastic comments on this website are all the credentials you need to psycho-analyze me.
Yes, I am aware that I am young and others have more experience than me. What does that *ahem* mean I should do? Are you implying (and correct me if I'm wrong) that I should give respect and consideration to the comments of any random stranger who was breathing before 1989? There are many elders in my life who I respect and admire, whose advice and experience I utilize. There are many, many people who all older than me, whose opinions are meaningless to me, because I have no reason to believe they're founded. Experience isn't infallibility, but if anyone, older or younger, wants to use their experience to offer me reasons for their advice, then they're welcome to.

Paragraph 3: The rest of who? Do you speak for everyone who comes across me? No, no... That line is concerning his overall genral behavior on this site.
No, I think he quite enjoyed the image, but thought he would come off as too "Juvenile" if he said such things. Instead, he makes some long, drawn out quip to prove his so-called superiority. This is a common occurance I've notice. The fact of the matter is, most users on this site know he's young and regard his attempts at playing the stern mature fellow as clumsy and ridiculous.

Kaos, There's a local pizza joint here in lansing called Poppa John's, it's been around longer than the national chain. The "real" chain is called Pappiano's here. It is the worst/best/cheapest pizza in town.

I'm an organizer, and I've got 3000+ albums on my computer. Genrizing and sub-genrizing is how I keep 'em separated. I don't think, "Hmm, I'd like to hear some Godspeed You! Black Emperor today". I think, "I could REALLY dig some post-rock right now". I care less about the particular band style and more about the general sound.

Lil' More Time - Love Bloc Party. BSS is okay, I suppose. My tastes run all over the place, but tend to run towards the heavy punk & metal stuff. And yet, if you were to ask, I'd say my 3 favorite artists were Peter Gabriel, Sigur Ros and VNV Nation.
