1 - I must thank all those music posts in the last few days. Thanks to them, I've discovered both PELICAN and ISIS. I didn't get too many Pelican tunes, but I got a nice collection of stuff by Isis now. Jaysis, 14 tracks clock in at 1 hour and 52 minutes!!! If you're not familiar, imagine if Mogwai played metal.
2 - So, The Girl leaves for Mexico tomorrow. She's going with some friends, so I politely reminded her not to get her kidney stolen or get forced into any donkey shows. I dunno why she gave me such a dirty look!
3 - Has anybody seen that new "Transformers" movie yet? I meant to go the other night with a crew, but my dumbass fell asleep. Seems like there's quite a number of good flicks coming out this summer.
4 - I just got a horror short story collection by Richard Matheson. I haven't started it yet, but I'm kinda excited. Has anyone ever read "I Am Legend," Matheson's classic? I tried to read "Hunted Past Reason" twice, but couldn't get into it. I gave it to Ghola.
5 - I didn't do shit for the 4th of July and it rocked...
6 - I don't think there are many things as grand in this world as when you first open that can of coffee and the aroma hits you. I've taken to adding just the tiniest bit of caramel syrup to each large mug in the morning. My mug holds 3 cups and I drink 3 mugfulls every morning.
7 - Still haven't bought a new fucking printer/scanner. I'm thinking about getting an Epson. My HP just took a shit on me after 2 years for no particular reason. I was never all that happy with it anyhow. I didn't care for the scanner program.
8 - I've come to a conclusion. All these people who rage on and on about TEH GREAT EVILZ of cigarette smoke honestly have deluded themselves into believing that they're going to live forever. Nope... sorry.
9 - How exactly is it that Oathy has 473 alters, but I can't get Bart to activate my single one? I find this very upsetting.
10 - Below is a new painting I just finished for my friends' Breast Cancer fund raiser. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it, but hopefully someone bored with cash to burn will drop some loot to get it in the silent auction. I first drew it out in pencil, then went over the canvas with an enamel paint pen. (as seen in the first image) Then I colored it in with oil pastel and brushed out the hues with turpenoid.

First of all... haaaahahaha, expert.
But yeah, as far as my opinion goes, I think it's good. I like the style. As far as things you could've done to improve it, I think if you faded the background portion out by about 50% with a mixture of mostly white, a tiny bit of blue, and a really tiny bit of brown it would've made it much more pleasing to look at.

I used to be when I was in college, by necessity. Graphics programs just go better on a Mac. But since I abandoned the design industry, I also abandoned the Mac world, sorry :( But I'm still planning the return to redhead status. More to come.

-- I need a new downloading program. Limewire sucked donkey balls so I removed it. I've been suffering with radio and the few CDs I have at my desk and in my glove box.

----Epsons are the Bic lighter of the printer world. I went through three of those sorry pieces of shit when I was in college. The prints are real quality, I'll give it that. But they suck for longevity. My last Epson was corrupted when my iMac became demonically possessed, it was teh scary.

---I quit back in February due to a medical condition, it boiled down to "Quit now, or live in agony." So, the party was over.
