Ok, So i'm the mother of 2. A 6 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. And frankly the "baby weight" excuse I have been using for the extra 20 lbs I haven't lost, is losing credability.
So, after being unsuccessful with the oh so popular 'metabolife' several years ago, I then decided to try the newest of the year, Xenadrine. I won't even go into all the adverse and horrible effects this stuff had on my body.
My metabolism is where my problem is. I am hypogylcemic, as well as anemic, so everything I eat, whether it's healthy or not, my body holds on to in one way, shape or form. Granted it's only 20 lbs right..? Well, I don't like it, and want it gone! I realize I'm lucky, and yes it could be worse- but it's aggravating that I feel no matter what I do, I just can't shake these stupid 20 lbs! I have emensly excersized, changed my diet, you name it, I have done it.
Even weight watchers, which I had some success with, but who has the patience to lose 2 lbs every 2 weeks..?
I'm 5'7, and am weighing right now about 150.....OK 155, but I don't look it! I'm very lucky b/c I distribute my weight very evenly. I've been called things such as 'thick' and 'healthy'- But have always had a "j-lo" butt, which I'm glad is an "in" thing right now. I wouldn't consider me fat at all..But I know this 20 lbs is here, so it weighs on my mind.
So my newest thing is Stacker 2. I've been on it now for about 5 days straight, and must say, I feel awesome. I feel like I have more energy that I have had in a while. So I'm combining this with another attempt at Tae-bo, and hoping for the best. I want to get this off before the holidays, and realize I have plenty of time, but I am very impatient and want things to happen NOW!
Does anyone out there know any fad-diets or anything of the nature for a rapid, but not unhealthy weight loss..? Or maybe have a success story to share, what worked for you..?
Go ahead and share your success story with me, so I can take notes and try it, but secretly hate you untill I lose this 20 lbs...then you'll be my best friend.

Hey Queen....
I am not sure if you are simply mixing your words when you talk about being hypoglycemic, but
there are a couple of points that I feel I should make.
For one, know that I too am hypoglycemic, was diagnosed when I was 8 or 9
Hypoglycemia is not caused by your body producing sugar. It is the result of your body
producing too much insulin. The human body regulates sugar levels in the blood stream by
producing insulin. You eat something with a lot of sugar, your blood sugar levels rise, and
a 'healthy' human body produces the right amount of insulin to drop the blood sugar level
back to where it should be. In the case of a diabetic, not enough insulin is produced (hence
insulin shots and pills). In the case of a hypoglycemic, too much insulin is produced, and
blood sugar levels drop below normal levels, causing shakiness, nausea, and even blackouts.
Eating sugar will, short term, correct this; however, in the long run it simply amplifies
the problem. Eating small meals several times a day helps regulate blood sugar levels. If you
do feel a crash coming on, drink some kind of fruit juice for a quick fix, but back this up
by consuming some form of protien. Drink a glass of milk, have some cheese, a hard boiled egg,
something along those lines.
Sorry if I am telling you a bunch of crap you already know. Not trying to nitpick here, but
like I said, in reading your comments about having hypoglycemia, I was not sure if you were
simply mixing up your wording, or if you really dont have a full understanding of what this
condition entails.....
best of luck in your endeavors. I go along with the majority and recommend smaller, but more
frequent meals, and exercise (weights and cardio!)

Just eat chocolate CONSTANTLY (8-15 times per day, 8 oz. servings). You can eat whatever else you like but just be sure that you include real milk chocolate. Don't exersize... your metabolism would skyrocket and you'd lose TOO MUCH WEIGHT. Who the hell really wants to look like Jaylo--or however these kids are saying that these days!? That's just TOO THIN.

hate to beat a dead horse,
but there is no "fast and easy"
way to lose weight, and keep it
off. just cut out all fat you
don't "have" to have. and
EXERCISE! but i saw your picture

everyone should exercise.

I had diet troubles too after a summer vacation a long time ago. The one plan that worked best and more quickly than any of the others was the low carb diet. Its basically exactly what it sounds like: little to no carbs. I myself had almost no carbs, with the exception of milk. Its very very difficult to maintain though. You cant have bread, pasta, softdrinks, etc etc. Even with salad, you can only have a liiittle bit of dressing. The diets really only used to drop pounds quickly, then slowly move back into more broad ( but still healthy ) eating habits. You lose the weight, then keep it off with exercise and healthier eating.
Sadly, theres no way to lose the weight in a week, then go back to stuffing your face and keep the weight off. Dont I wish something like that could exist. But still, I guess try out this one for 2-3 weeks. Even after 1 week you should see an improvement.
Oh yea, and eat breakfast ( like before noon, hehe ). That helps speed up your metabolism. Potassium also helps a bunch, but just get that from bananas ( the pill supplements arent good for you, so you know ). Also eat an early dinner and dont snack on stuff.

That chocolate diet Murphy is referring to really works. It is very hard though because you start to get sick of eating all that chocolate. It must be REAL milk chocolate and you must digesting it at all times...If you stick with it your metabolism goes nuts and the weight comes flying off. Murphy was VERY successful (50 lbs is a lot), I only lost 35 lbs and it took me three months. Good luck.

Murph- Are you really serious about the chocolate diet? I have chocolate around constantly, whether it be hershey bars, or the syrup for chocolate milk. I am a choco addict, and plus I keep it around for when I start to feel as tho I need sugar, b/c of the hypoglycemia. I have no prob eating it constantly...lol...
And Lucid- I will keep the juice idea in mind for sure, and watch my sugars on the juices. I love OJ and apple juice, so this would work well for me. I must admit, i'm bad about the whole water thing, and know this is something I need to increase. I cringe when someone says 'drink a gallon' or even the 8- 8 oz glasses...lol. I drink allot of tea tho which I know is giving me some water, but I will definately push it up a notch. The water thing must really work, b/c everyone I talk to, that is the first thing they say.
I will let ya'll know what happens tho...hopefully b/c of all these great ideas it will just fall off.....=)

Stacker is addictive and you'll just gain the weight back when you stop taking it because your normal habits will come back, or you could keep taking more and more Stacker - something I wouldn't recommend.
Pound a glass of water whenever you are hungry - it will trick your body into thinking you are full - cold water is better. It also helps to clean out your body.
Drink coffee, it gives you energy and speeds up your metabolism - tea might do the same thing. Try not to load it with sugar.
To keep it off you will have to change your lifestyle, theres nothing to do to get around it.

Ever heard of the chocolate diet?
Incoporate REAL milk chocolate in to EVERY meal you eat. Want a bannana? COVER it with layers of creamy milk chocolate.
There is a certain kind of caffeine in chocolate which stimulates your metabolism. If taken regularaly and ALWAYS coursing through your system (this is important) than you're constantly burning fat.
Eating a king-size Hershey before bed will make you BURN FAT WHILE YOU SLEEP.
I lost 50 pounds.

Drink nothing but hard juices (orange juice, grapefruit juice, etc) and plenty of water. Make sure you look at the total sugar in the items you eat, and not just the total fat, since sugar is converted directly into it. Eat three heavy meals a day to fill you up, and try not to eat past 8:00 at night. But most of all, watch what you drink. All sodas, alchohol, and most juices are nothing but sugar. Drink hard juices and a gallon of water a day and you will lose weight quickly. Add some light weight training or light jogging and you'll burn it even quicker.
When I had to lose weight for wrestling, I did this and ended losing WAY more than I needed to (30+ lbs). It's hard at first, but you'll get used to it eventually.
Besides Queen, I'm sure you'll always be sexy no matter what.

Aww ya'll have been so great with your ideas and advice, it is much appreciated!
April, That sounds like a very good and diciplined diet. I'm going to copy that down, and try to stick to that. It reminded me of the 'atkins' diet at first when I saw all the meat consumption, but then I noticed there was still an intake of carbs, which is good. Girl, I tried that "introductary diet" they give you to follow for the first 2-3 weeks when you join 'quick weight loss centers', and omg, you were allowed salad, all day every day but it only had to be with fat-free italian dressing, and the only thing allowed in it was chicken. A small orange for breakfast and the salad for lunch and dinner- and 8 glasses of water daily. FOR 2-3 WEEKS straight! I'm thinking, well no damn wonder these people are losing weight, they never got off the damn toilet! Yours seems MUCH healthier and allot less restrictive, if I have any questions I'll e-mail you, and if you have any more ideas for me, feel free to e-mail me as well...=)
Drink: WOOHOOO- next time move the 'tool-belt' apron out of the way!! cute pic, you remind me of one of the beastie boys, you ever heard that before? Cutie =)
LazyFatAss- You sure as hell don't sound lazy to me babe! I'm in the process right now of buying some workout dvd's, b/c I babysit for my sis-n-law and a friend of mine- so with my 2 kids- everyday I have 6 kids here, all under the age 6...lol...It's hard for me to have the chance to get out of the house much and run or walk, even tho I would love too. I'm also thinking about investing in a treadmill within the next few months. Thanx for your sweet advice tho and taking the time out of your aparant busy schedule to help me out =)
Hadooken, Ok I'll e-mail my pic to you, I'm nothing special and you have to go easy on the bashing of me. =)
EH- I'm glad you dream of Tiff, that means you are obviously faithful and in love, i'm happy for you. But if this strip club thing comes into effect, I will hope to see you and Drink on the stage, shakin things up!!....lol.
Does anyone reccomend any specific workout dvd's..? My sister and law and I have worked with "The Firm" and that seems ok, but I would kinda like to have the whole routine cardio and toning and all that one one dvd, instead of having to switch the tapes n such...any recommendations?
And to everyone else who I might have not mentioned, thank you all for your sweet and thoughtful advice. I will take all of it and try my best and hopefully when this whole 'ordeal' for me is done, maybe i'll post a swimsuit pic with thanks!....=)

The best way to lose weight is to do cardio. The best way to lose fat and keep it off is weight training. Try Light weight training 3 days a week for an hour and six days a week of jogging/walking for a half hour. You will see results fairly quick and you won't need to change your diet much. This kind of exercise will increase muscle mass(which needs more calories just to maintain), increase metabolic rate (burns calories faster), and as a result reduce fat. I work out six days a week, each day being 2 hours of intense weight training and 3 miles running, but I sure as hell didn't do this the first week I went to the gym. Remember to take it easy at first :)

Hey Queen Mama! Ok this diet I went on two years ago when I took that Depo shot (birth control) and blew up like an American Gladiator was wonderful. It's 1000 calories per day but it's real food - just limited portions.
Here's an example:
Breakfast 1 meat
1 carb
1 fruit
1 cup of milk
Lunch 2 meats
1 carb
1 fruit
1/2 cup of milk
Dinner 2 meats
1 vegetable
1 fruit
1/2 cup of milk
Believe it or not, you will get full off of this. Now your meats can be burgers, steak, chicken, hotdogs, pork chops, deli meat, peanut butter (only once per day) cheese and eggs. There is no sausage or bacon on this diet.
Carbs are like breads, potatoes, pasta, rice, blah blah blah.
The rest is self explanatory. If you're interested, email me.

And out of curiosity..where does one find 'real speed'?
I haven't noticed any kind of change in my 'thinking capacity' persay, alltho I do notice myself talking allot more, elaborating more, and talking allot faster. I've always been really analytical and played the role of 'psychologist' when dealing with problems, so I haven't been watching to see if that's becoming more inhanced or not.
If I start busting out with crazy shit though, and talking all weird, and posting LLLOOOONNGGG ass posts about nothing, I will be sure to include a disclaimer that it was a Stacker 2 endorced post or comment....lol.

Jwlmar- Xenadrine fubar'd my ass bad! I mean, bad. I started having all kinds of womanly issues- and was sick contnantly on that shit within weeks of it getting in my system. It really scared the hell out of me, b/c It took almost the same amount of time to leave my system as the time it took to start messing me up. The Stacker 2- I feel that same rush of 'energy' and feel sometimes like I need to do cartwheels and shit b/c I almost feel so rushed. But the effect it has on me, is very unlike the way Xenadrine made me feel. Which is a good thing. I have never taken full blown speed before- but I would imagine that it's probably a lower dose of what speed does. Now whether or not these 20 lbs go away- we'll see...lol. My apetite has been surpressed, and I find myself not having the cravings and stuff I normally would have. Sometimes not even being able to eat a full meal, b/c I feel full much faster. So, so-far-so-good I guess.
They come out with pills like this just about every other month..and I was wondering if anyone out there might know another one they maybe had results with, or possibly maybe heard of. All the advice has been great tho, and to be honest I thought I was gonna get flamed and basically had my ass handed right back to me on this post.

Xenadrine breaks down in your body and supplies you with endorphins, so it is basically speed. I'm assuming the other shit you take is the same way. I think you should just take speed. I take the shit all the time and my thinking capacity becomes extremely elevated. Just don't abuse it and you will be fine.

Dooza- I am aware of this. I became anemic when I was pregnant with my son. It's not half as bad now, as it was then, but I know what it is. Hypoglycemia is like the opposite of diabetes. Where as a diabetic's system makes too much sugar, a hypoglycemic's does not make enough. Though hypoglycemia can be controlled thru diet, but a diabetic has to have the insulin. The hypoglycemia is probably what you saw me reffering to.

Queen,
The only way to lose weight, keep it off and not run the risk of major health complications is to do two things.
1 Eat a healthy diet. (consult a doctor or a nutritionist to help you plan)
2 Exercise. (Implement a program that stresses aerobic workouts and stick to it, again consult a professional)
If you do these things you are sure to lose weight, it may not be as dramatic as the ephedra pills in the short run. However, you will be lean and mean in no time. Most importantly be vain. You know you want to look good. While I'm sure you are dead sexy as is, everybody wants to look better. It will be very difficult at first. You have the time before the holidays. Go after it, everybody wants to be attractive, no shame in admitting that. Be vain.

But, really, I didn't know this stuff was so close to speed. I mean I definately feel energized and sometimes a bit shaky when I take 2 at once, but I mean, is it addictive..? I must aslo admit, for the past 5 days I've been on it, I have hardly eaten. I mean I do eat, just much smaller portions b/c I feel full much faster. Do ya'll think this stuff is bad really..? Can you recommend something..?

But when I do get a pic of my ass bongy- I'll wear a sign that says "This bong's for you!"...k..? Untill then you'll have to work it with the link to "girls who fuck horses" like you asked.
And whoever wants to see my pic will have to give me an e-mail addy I can send it to..I can't do attatchments on webshitty...

"You could start doing speed.
Speed addicts dont eat much, and they think that they're brilliant! What could be better? "
She is, that stuff is speed.
Not a single one of those WWE people uses Stacker. If you're from Chicago you may know of a guy on Mancow called Turd who also endorses stacker, Turd is disgusting fuck who weighs about 350 pounds.

And Drink babes- what else do you do for free..? Now my curiosity runs wild....

EH- thanx for sparing me the bashing for my 'reason the drew me in' comment...lol. You could have been brutal. Now that you mention it, I have had some pretty weird dreams, nothing bad, but for the past few days I can actually remember them, and usually I don't. Hmmm...
Ok, now I really REALLY want to have a dream tonight about you and Drink in ya'lls sexy military uniforms and getting all nasty and..........well.....nevermind....lol

i am not even going to comment on your "stackers drew me in..." thing. And you would be here in Dcu's, not fatiques, fatigues would be the ones that drink wears, I wear the cool blonde, brown, and tan ones! they are a hell of a lot more comfortable and have a lot less starch on them!
yellow jackets are basically speed, but thats all stackers are. The crap thats in them is like over the counter speed, it increases your heart beat, and makes you have some wierd ass dreams! I developed really fucked up sleep schedules and a case of bad night walking while I was on them.

Stacker 2 is a rip off. Take two asperin with a cup of coffee three times a day, same effect, $30 dollars cheaper.

Thanx EH, I'll keep that in mind. If I wasn't so impatient, I know thru a regular and productive excersize routine and eating right, eventually it would happen, but i'm kinda at my wits end and feel everything so far, has been unsuccessful. I will definately heed your advice and watch the stacker tho. If I start to feel the least bit 'wierded out' i'll stop taking them. I really didn't know that yellow jackets were anywhere near stacker. Aren't those speed? Stacker attracted me, believe it or not b/c it is endorced by the WWE (formally WWF) and I figured with all these people jumping around and acting like fools, this stuff must be ok to take, b/c anything that would harm their celebrity bodies, I don't think they would endorse. I know that sounds pretty pathedic, but it was the only one I knew of at the time that had some type of "See it works" proof. But thanx, and if all else fails, you might just see me over there in fatigues....lol.

join the military and get sent to the desert (afganistan, saudi, iraq, turkey) during the summer months, you will sweat off 15 pounds int he first month... Combine that with running an hour a day,and working out 4 times a week for 45 minutes each and you will come out looking damn good!
be careful with stackers. I was taking the equivilant of stackers, called yellow jackets. I got hooked on em, and before I knew it I was taking like 6 to get the effect of 1. After time I felt like a heroine addict looking for a fix. Then it all came tumbling down in one big ass spiral! The thing about those are, they give you energy to work out and burn more calories. In order to actually lose weight on them you have to work out. They also cause you to eat less which means your calorie intake is less then normal. After time, your body will begin gettings its energy from other sources (muscle) instead of fat and you will feel really week, and begin dropping things as light as a can. It really is the damndest thing when you are holding a can of soup, and you have a firm grasp on it, then BAM! its all over the fucking floor!
be careful!

For anyone who wishes to begin by calling me a "stupid fat bitch" let me tell you know that you can burn in hell, and your lame retorts are pretty much expected.
I have a pic also btw, if anyone wants to assume I'm really as big as a house...i'd be more than happy to e-mail it to you.
