Of course I'm not actually deluded enough to think an impeachment will ever happen - I mean let's face it those American folks simply don't give enough of a shit to do something so galactically justified.
So why bother to post this liberal pinko commie leftist bullshit sentiment?
Well I'll tells ya - it's because I just watched Keith Olbermann (an anchor on 'Countdown' - MSNBC) go OFF on the most delightfully bile-flecked rant I have seen in a long LONG time.
Here is an excerpt:

Powerful accusations indeed - and I'm curious if any of you folks who disagree with those accusations can actually provide some sort of legitimate reason as to why he SHOULDN'T be impeached.

I only skimmed through one of your comments, but I agree that the essential problem with the American economy is that the government is spending money it doesn't have. It needs to get rid of this fake money shit and go back to a solid standard to give money the sort of objectivity it needs, without which it will eventually because worthless and cause collapse.

If you really believe this, you should take a good hard look at Ron Paul for president in 2008.
He wants to return the country to a gold standard and pull us out of all these trade alliances like NAFTA and CAFTA, and he wants to abolish the Federal Reserve! He also wants to revamp American foreign policy so that we stop getting ourselves into all these needless (and expensive) foreign entanglements. If you really want to make a difference, now is the time. Register Republican if you have to to vote in the primary in your state, and vote Ron Paul.

When it comes to worth, I suppose it is all rather relative isn't it? The sort of commentary you throw down is infinitely more valuable than this on a creative level.
However:
The ensuing conversations in the comment section of this post made it incredibly entertaining for my own self - as I always enjoy a good political yap fest. With 275+ submissions it would seem that the folks around here were fairly enthusiastic about participating as well - so one >could< argue that type of response deems it 'worthy'.
I guess the thing is (as you well know) we are drowning in our fabricated culture of excess over here in Western civilization. Things get missed all the time - we are inundated with opinions, images, contests, and countless distractions because I suspect without them we would all start to realize that this world we live in is fucking shit. We need the chaos to conveniently ignore the exploitation and casual disregard we have for our fellow human beings. We need to be barraged by pretty things to keep the devastation we do to our 'natural' environment every day as far away from affecting our conscience as possible. (...unless we can totally rock out to it, dude.) When it comes to politics we allow ourselves to be governed by assholes and crooks - not because we trust them or consider them competent or noble - but because we don't want to fucking think about that kind of shit - at all. Face it, we are generally tired and worn out from working for 'the man' and whatever doesn't affect us in our immediate surroundings are easily forgotten in the sea of meaningless bullshit we bathe in.
So, considering that (subconsciously, of course) I saw this little gem of a rant and thought to myself - 'I bet most people around this dump haven't seen this.'
So I shared.

Voting Bush in a second time had a lot to do with it.
And I think Caul is exaggerating the numbers, there was majority support for going in initially.
I think we are in a stronger position with Iran now because of it. they know we will wreck shop if we think they are making weapons, and with saddam's army down we could pull out of Iraq without worrying about a serious offensive (they are to busy fighting each other).

I don't think it is a game, I didn't describe it as a game, I don't think of it in the terms above, and I if that was the reason for Iraq I don't approve, however I would not be suprised if the factors I listed came into play when people were setting US foreign policy.
For someone who believes the world is run by a group of jewish bankers, who are behind everything from global warming and the US being behind 9/11, I am suprised you have a hard time recognizing the possibility that Iraq was nothing more than a show of force to Iran and a means to disrupt any serious counterattack ever coming from there if we do go to Iran.

Let me revise that, it's not necessarily a Jungian concept so much as it is a Jungian phrase. There have been others who have proposed the concept in other terms. "Over-soul" is one of them, proposed by Emerson. And "Brahmin" is very similar in that it represents the absolute self, the part of us that merges with the eternal above and beyond this individual body and limited mind.

It's a Jungian concept. Basically, as I understand it, it is the totality of all the things...the taboos, the mores, etc....that make a society operate as it does. It is the collection of all our unspoken fears and hopes that stay beneath the surface of everyday conversation and interaction. They influence all that we do in ways that remain hidden from us because we are too close to them to see their direct effects.
It's related to the notion of the "reptilian mind" and the idea that we retain ancestral knowledge that was passed down in the process of evolution.
If you've ever heard the statement "we are all one", it shouldn't be that alien.

No, not at all. I think that whatever bozo gets elected in 2008 will have an impossible burden placed upon him or her such that the only possible outcome is failure. The system is in the midst of collapse. Some people know it and are making preparations and others think the problem will disappear with the current administration. Once people realize that the economic problems the country has aren't going to go away magically, it won't take long for the whole thing to come tumbling down.
The basic problem is that for the last 30 years the US has been spending money that it doesn't have yet. That works fine when the economy is growing rapidly either through innovation or military conquest. However, now that government regulation has shipped all innovation overseas and the military is demonstrating that it is not worthy of being labeled a superpower, the growth is stopping. Once everyone else faces the reality of the decline in growth, the debt becomes real and you can't borrow any more against future income. There isn't enough wealth in the country to pay back any of the accumulated debt, so poof!, it's gone. The US that exists today will vanish into the night with nothing but strip malls and landfills to serve as proof to future generations that a lifestyle of such excess ever existed in these lands.

Yes, but it was a media soap opera precisely because everyone knows that someone's knob getting polished really isn't that important. It was salicious and easy for the water cooler. The media and the public would not react the same to something more 'important' say, the Iraq lies or the unanswered questions over 9/11 because that isn't some easily understandable incident that can be brushed off with the classic explanation of a horny old man in a position of power and some stupid woman. The really serious stuff goes to the heart of our way of life, the assumptions we make about the world and the blood on our own hands. Nobody wants to think about that shit if they can avoid it, so we latch onto the little things that we can claim the moral high ground on and get upset about them instead.
I haven't really thought any of that through yet but it seems to make sense to me.

I know you probably think we sit around and say kill all muslims but we don't. I mean there are people who believe crap like that in the US, but it would be next to impossible to find a group of ten random college educated people who have traveled out side of the country where 6 of them thought like that. Can you imagine that? For that level of hate and ignorance to be accepted?
That was what going out with egyptians was like. I had met egyptians before when I was in Indo and got along great. There were a lot of expats I hung around with, I had fun in Egypt. After two and a half years living as an expat in southeast asia in another muslim country I thought it would be no problem, but I wasn't ready for the racism, for the extorsion (I was ready to an extent but it is much worse there than anywhere else I have traveled).
I could excuse the grunts working onthe riggs, they didn't know any better but to see that beleif expressed by people who had seen other countries and were educated was honestly scary. There were nice places (great diving, and even though the pyramids were covered in garbage they were neat) but that left a terrible taste in my mouth. So even though they did have mcdonalds in the dessert, the place sucked.

I am quite aware that America is not the worst game in town. It is also not the best, and yes I know that we gave guns to Iran too (that's why I said selling guns to everyone so they can kill each other). I also do not copy and paste. I probably should do that more, for more credibility.
I am quite aware, as well, of our issues with China. I don't know how that has any bearing on Darfur, but perhaps you can enlighten me. I would be curious. I know that we have not done anything in Korea for that reason, and likely in Pakistan as well. I know we have ignored the Tibetan genocide (which, while not as major in terms of human life (though still quite distressing), is perhaps the single worst cultural extermination in recorded history) for that reason.
Please do tell me if you know anything about China's interference with our humanitarian efforts in Africa. Or how China has anything to do with Iraq. Or terrorism. I would be curious. Is it an oil thing?

The arms shipped to Saddam weren't all MADE IN AMERICA, not only that but people were shipping arms to the other side (Iran) as well. Countries don't exist in a vaccuum, and america has interests that if we don't work for they will be worked against.

The US doesn't want to fight another proxy war like Iran/Iraq, which is what would end up happening if we pushed their. The fact of the matter is that there are an infinite number of different places with ties to Al Queda as strong or stronger than Iraq's flimsy mutual acceptance.
We do not go to war when it does not benefit us. That is a fact, and that is how *gasp* most nations work. It would not benefit us to go to war in Saudi Arabia because they are our friends and we do not need to steal their shit. We have not figured out anything we could get out of North Korea, so we leave it alone. We cannot figure out anything we could possibly want in the Darfur region of Sudan, so we allow the genocide to continue there for a while.
You want to fight terrorism? Syria has been running Lebanon pretty much as long as Israel has existed, using it to launch terrorist assaults and house Palestinian fugitives. Al Queda and other terrorist agencies are recruiting massively in impoverished African nations affected by civil wars and genocidal dictators. Pakistan may or may not be housing Bin Laden. The Phillipines is still bitter towards us after we tore them apart under the radar so long ago. We have still not caught Bin Laden. We have still not stabilized Afghanistan. Iran is openly considering going nuclear/may have already. The IRA, hey, d'you remember them? South America/Latin America? Hates us.
Iraq was honestly somewhat clean before we got to it. Sure it was corrupt, sure Saddam was a pretty bad dude, sure he gased Kurds. We forget though that we gave him all his guns and all his missiles. We forget that we only cared about Kuwait because of the oil wells, that before that he was our best bud in the region. We forget about how we constantly ship weapons over their (and that present tense is intentional) on the hope that they will kill each other. Iraq was mediocre at best on the 'threat to America' scale. Syria is worse. Iran is worse.
