OK so this is going to sound really fucked up but im going to talk about something that I think needs to be considered. It will never happen because of human morality though so just something to think about. Also if any of you can dispute this as a bad idea with reason and not morality or religion, but simply from a biological standpoint please do i would love to hear what you can come up with!
In the wild, in a herd of animals only the strongest, fastest, smartest ones survive to mate. In most cases only the strongest of the strong the alpha male gets to mate. Thus all the children become stronger and stronger. Thus the herd becomes biologically better. have you ever seen a deformed animal in an area with predetors live to adulthood? The answer is No, maybe in extremely rare cases one might survive. This keeps the Gene pool free of dirt or shitty genes. Same with sickness. Its been this way for billions of years, and only the most fit survive and thrive.
It is my opinion that modern medicine, especially the kind that dosnt cure a disease, or deformation, or retardation is ruining that age old way of doing things. Why keep a geneticly inferior specimen alive to have children? it will only further weaken the future generations. I beleive there are 2 viable options that will solve this problem and help with others as well. FIRST (pussy) approach: Have all retarded persons or geneticly sick or weak specimens sterilized before they are able to further contaminate the gene pool, try to elliminate that recessive gene. This would take time but in the end it will acheive the desired result so if you must be a moralizing fag you can go home not feeling as bad about it. SECOND APPROACH: Kill all retarded and geneticly inferior specimens before they can mate. In my opinion this should also be extended to those persons who have incurable and infections diseases (AIDS, Herpes, Hepetitis C, Ect)
The after effects of this if it is followed through world wide are expected to be: Stronger Gene pool, less and less birth defects and retardation as the generations pass due to the extermination of those who posess the recessive traits. The ellimination of the targeted diseases. A noticeable, if not significant drop in the worlds population, resulting in less pollution, less expendature of fossil fuels, which may lead to less war because of the reduced demand for limited rescources, less population requiring land and goods, and an over all better ecosyestem after time.
An example of a population that did something kinda like that would be ancient Sparta. I know, I know Sparta fell. As did Rome, as did the british empire to an extent, and America will fall from power eventually too. the beauty in this is that no matter what nation is dominant at the time world wide the species will be better off in the long run. The time has come my brothers and sisters, let us cleanse ourselves together of the filth that is defiling our futures!
A pity that our morality will be our undoing.
The worst things are done with the best intentions. Would you let the unfit breed and destroy our species? Simply because you dont want to look in the mirror and know that people had to die in order for a better tomarrow? Those of you who are not willing should simply stand aside and let the strong lead you. It is the way of nature.

The huge flaw is how do you define what criteria is considered imperfection and where are lines drawn? Is skin colour, height, eithnic background all taken into account? Are mixed breed people genetically flawed? What hereditary ailments make for an unuseable gene-base? How do you define intelligence v's talent?
And most of all, what makes you think that you and your entire family and all its blood relations shouldnt get wiped off the face of the earth should what you're suggesting be implemented?

the point seems near valid, however you don't take into account the fact that the human species is still subject to evolution despite the fact that its outcome is dramatically different. the idea of simply weeding out the "inferior" members misses the point that nature does this for us already. we can't tamper with the system that we're a part of, even if we can delude ourselves momentarily into thinking we can.
if you wanted to rid the world of problems, then try a hand at making culture a more positive energy. as it stands, the values and ideals that culture promotes influences people as much as genetics, if not more so, and even the smartest and fastest of the herd can be trained to get stupid and fat and lazy. i think evolution will likely dumb people down and make us lazier, given the general focus of it as a whole lately.
however, arguably all life is suffering, or at least can be understood as suffering. does the taste of vomit or odor of feces irritate an infant? hardly until they're told these things are repulsive. the labels one's mind places on the various activities going on the more it comes into conflict and suffering. the more that mankind tries to fight this natural fact of life, the more it throws it back in our face.

First off, this post was a joke. I would never condone, or participate in genocide. Yeah I know subject is a little un PC...whatever I care about some of your opinions about as much as I care about knowing what empe.. President Bushs favorite food is. Some of you do make good points though, I didnt think about Stephen Hawking. It would be near impossible to track them all down anyway. Another good point that I didnt think of that I should have was the fact that generally these people dont mate.
However I would argue further about the diseased ones most notably AIDS. Humans have long known that if somone becomes infected with something if you just isolate that person untill he/she/it is better or dies the disease dies with it. Modern outbreak protocall for deadly highly infectious diseases includes quarrantine. So we take Those individuals infected with whatever nasty disease put them on an isolated peice of land and either let them die of their ailments or put them out of their misery quickly. the important part is there can be no human contact with them so treating them is out of the question. presto no more disease.
on top of that yes Herpes too and you know that I ment the genital version. Call me a nazi if you want but my grandfather died in the halocaust ... fell out of a guard tower.

The problem we would see by doing this, although it would be so much fun to be in the "Tard extermination force", would be a massive rise in Cancer. not only that but it's an offshoot of Darwinian theory that a species gathers strength through diversity - massive leaps forward have been made in evolution because a specimen had some dominant deformation or mutation that allowed them to better survive the wild, thus these 'inferior' animals gradually took over the species and replaced the so called 'normal' specimens. With your theory this could never happen because anything deemed different is culled.
But then really, the whole argument is bollocks because you can't just take notes on the animal kingdom and try to apply them to humans because we are exceptional. When you see a wildebeest driving a car while making long distance telephone calls - let me know.

There are flaws in your unintelligent rationale.
First off, many of those who have diseases and defects still have very much to contribute to the world. They are scientists, philosophers, writers, artists, and other key members of society which influence and create technology, ways of thought, and other essential aspects of bettering our existence.
Killing off, or sterilizing people is a ridiculous concept. Instead, you should have suggested genetic reconstruction of the defects, and/or finding methods of combating and curing disease.

Good post. Killing all the inferior ones would not only help the species, but reduce the population crisis. On the other hand, we can pretty much compensate for most problems now, e.g. contact lenses for eyesight problems, so there's really not much reason left.
