She stands behind the glass as models do.
Her hips are curved and stressed just so,
Her naked body awaits tomorrow morning's dressing.
The old ladies will pick something beautiful for her to wear.
And she never bats an eye.
She looks out above my head to the street.
Where taxi cab drivers yell at each other and people rush to be nowhere.
And everyone thinks they know somewhere.
She's seen a hundred thousand people pass,
And never blink an eye.
She's tragic and beautiful, fingers outstretched and long.
Slender legs that are delicately cut, almost sculpted.
Cast breasts with perfect nipples.
She looks lonely there.
But she's not.
She's as happy as the rest of us.
Waiting for tomorrow.
For someone to tell her what to wear.
What to sell.
How to stand.
Which way to look.
And as I smoke my last cigarette for the day,
And look up through the glass display,
My lady says "Goodnight".

I know someone who will fucking LOVE this, for multiple reasons.
I shattered my knee last night falling down a flight of stairs. Does anyone have a good remedy for a fucked up knee besides lots and lots of alcohol?
