So I was sitting here at work watching a bunch of sycophants fall over themselves to fellate each other on the topic of how tolerant they are of (enter minority/sexual group here)
I was sitting there smoking minding my own business when this tall idiot says "Well I am not racist, I have a few black friends. "Zeglamancer" has seen me cruising around town with them." I nodded so as to not be a liar because I had infact seen him riding around randomly with a few blacks I didn't know.
This brought up a question to me though. Why is it in today's society everyone works so hard to prove how accepting and tolerant they are of people who are diffrent? Why do I automatically get labeled as being against a group, if I don't put on a fucking integrity show about how tolerant I am of them?
I say its high time I started answering people's assumptions with a good old fashioned middle finger. I don't quite understand why everytime I describe a person in some random story, if the guy happens to be black and I say this its implied somehow that I am racist. The man was actually black and all I did was say that he was. So fuck you if you think I am racist for it. Anyone else out there sick of having to explain how tolerant they are of other people every 10 seconds over stupid shit?

As you refer to someone in a story, whether black or white, you just need to say person, not black person and not white person. People take it different ways, some offended some not. Sure you know all this but just explaining.

I received an interesting email about rascim the other week asking what would happen if there was a white pride day. In recognition of our European heritage. Not about excluding other races. And the answer was that we would be labelled rascist for it.
Plus I know how you feel about using black people in stories. That's why I don't describe the colour of their skin any more. I let the audience make it up in their heads.

These days we are asked to be afraid of offending anyone anywhere at any time. As that concept (voluntarily living in fear) offends me, I don't participate. I actually have too much self esteem for my own good. If you had the reading comprehension of perhaps a 6th grader or so, you'd have noticed that in my story it wasn't me projecting anything. I was smoking a cigarette minding my own business observing a bunch of fools explaining their thoughts and feelings to each other. I was roped into the conversation as a verification of one of them's tolerance.
However you appear to have failed horribly at that and instead just randomly made up something and believed thats what I really said and fired off a reply to that. Good job moron.

Not really, since I try only to associate with people who care more about how I treat others than how I physically describe them. Never really had a problem with it.
If I'm telling a story, statements like "...and he's black, see?" and "well, she's a lesbian" only come up when pertinent.
