Coming from a person, who see's alot of winter, I recomend the following:
When you're outdoors for prolonged periods of time,
PUT ON SUNSCREEN AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER.
Why's this you ask?
I work as a lifeguard. (Yes in the Arctic)
and today, it was rather hot (Like, 32 degrees Celcious)
and I DID put on my sunscreen, and I thought I drank enough water.
but I got MAD mother fucking heat stroke (Okay, so all you Southern bad boys, laugh your ass off, but I'm used to eight months of snow. My body is immune to COLD)
I had to be driven from work, to the nearest city in an ambulance, because I fell "asleep" twice on the job. I couldn't even hold my head up.
Anyhow. Enjoy your summer, but be SURE to drink enough water. And get engouh sun screen.
Oh. And drink a nice cold one out in the sun for me ... Maybe it didn't help my cause.

went home this weekend to work the final weekend of the pool season. got a "code". can't breathe through my "node". but i also my "tan" back.
i am so finished with being a lifeguard.

Awesome. 32 degrees celsius. That's how hot it is during summer AT NIGHT where I live.

I've spent most of my life in the sun.
But I'm Irish/English descended, so I'm white white white and I'll fry if not careful..you gotta work into it slowly. I freckled out my torso by sunburning badly in the carribean on the deck of my aircraft carrier.

I am a pasty white guy. Some have likened it to fish belly white. My torso had not seen the sun in the past 5 years due to great big heaps of fat. having lost a lot of wieght i've been out in the sun quite a bit. subsequently i have ended up with some really stupid sunburn this summer. i apply and reapply the damned sunscreen and still i fry.

Ouch. I live in cornwall. We've finally got sun but we also get the sea breeze, so it all pans out.
Totally feel sorry for the life guards though, 70 people had to be rescued from the sea yesterday at one beach >__< Stupid emits.

i went to the beach a lot recently and some days, i'm literally sleep walking.
not only are we not used to that much sun exposure, but we try to get as much of it as possible before it flees again.
i don't think laying on the beach from 9 am to 9 pm is exactly a good idea.
