Suppose someone from the past (200 years back or more) got to have one glimpse of the future (our present) and they saw a snapshot of a rock concert.
The first thing they would notice and not understand is that the audience is facing the musicians, and not standing with their backs to them looking and talking to one another.

Fine. How long ago do you think the Greeks held their theater in the round?
A rock concert is a spectacle. A visual extravaganza - the idea of the theater is at least thousands - of years old. (I assume you were able to do that limited research)
Your premise is flawed is all - although I don't really have any reason to be a cranky asshole.
However, I still think: http://www.ubersite.com/m/110710

Rob, you're far too intelligent for such a remark: the scenario is relevant and poignant.
I'll not question your knowledge of history, although you've left it somewhat suspect.

NO WAY MAN! STEAK WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER THEN CAKE!
Imagine someone from 200 years ago, catching a glimpse of our present day, and seeing goatse.
Now, discuss that.
