So to fill the TV show Jericho, which apparently was a semi-interesting post-apocalyptic serial drama; CBS has decided to run a reality TV show, no big deal right?
Well this reality TV show took 40 kids, aged 8 through 15, and placed them in the middle of a ghost town with no adult interaction, and told them to make a viable society.
Wait, isn't that against the child labor laws, you might ask?
Well, it would...except for the fact that CBS filed the show under a summer camp instead of work place.
Pretty damn crafty if you ask me...although, doesn't a summer camp involve camp counselors, various sporting activities and overall, fun?
Apparently not according to what the New Mexico government considers a summer camp.
Oh wait! Don't forget that CBS had a "child psychologist" just off camera for the children and they could ask to leave at any time "on their own free will"...That makes it all better!
What the fuck?
Seriously...how the fuck could CBS get to do this shit?
They pretty much wanted to re-create the Lord of the Flies, which was stated by the show's producer, for their commercial benefit...how is this fucking legal?
Remember Lord of the Flies...and how...um...Porky and other kids died?
Not really a great choice for inspiration.
Nevermind the fucking potential irrevocable harm that could be done to the younger children, which by the way were as young as 8...This shit is fucking ridiculous.
Just...wow.
I think the kids should've rebelled and just beaten the shit out the camera crew...and then moved on to Les Moonves.
