I'm bored. There are 30k+ registered names on Ubersite. That's a shit ton of users. the funny thing is that having come back after a brief haiatus it seems that of those about 65 might actually be active. of those 65, 35 seem to be alters. that leaves us with 30 people who still come to routinly play on our playground. these numbers totally suck and i, by no means, grant no accuracy to them in any way shape or form. I may be bored but that doesn't mean I'm gonna do actual research or something. fuck off.
I don't pay close enough attention to determine which users are alters, which users have changed names due to being banned or just because they wanted to start over, or which users are just themselves, like me. I am me. there is only one of me and I have not split myself into multiple personalities in an attempt to rival Sybil Dorstt and her 16 other selves.
I don't really know where I'm going with this so bear with me..... Ubersite, users, alters, oh yeah! Users. Ok, so we have these thirty or so regular users that post and rate with some regularity. who the hell are they? Is there a point to thier existence? maybe I will do just a little research, don't tell anyone though.
ah, fuck that. I don't feel like it. If I wanted to do work I could do some of the work I'm getting paid for. so instead let's see what you have to say. A roll call of sorts. it's not like you're doin anything anyway. maybe we can organise the Uber census to find out how many are actually around.
My last post got 346 hits with about 13 reviews (that weren't mine). are there that many people just lurking? or are the thirty of us really going back to that post ten times? Another recent post got 1069 hits with a total of 25 reviews. some of the reviews are mine. I know that the thirty of us active users didn't click on that post thirty five times.
so who the hell are you? are you active? Do you only review? do you like having sex with dead goats? cause that's just messed up. How many of us are there?

I'm here. I got into the site when MickGinny and Tom were kicking ass and recently registered but never really had anything worth saying. I remember a year or two ago I read one of MickGinny's "A token of my infection" stories and ended up staying up for like 3 hours reading them from beginning to end. Most of the time I'm nearly certain I'm real.
At least that's been one of the primary assumptions I've held for most of my life.

I'm here every now and then, usually I'll post a few posts then leave for a few months, then come back. However i'll probably stick around longer now, as I have much more free time on my hands. But yeah definitely, I remember I was looking through users one time (cause I was super bored) and I counted at least a hundred that have nothing posted, no hits, and no reviews. Just a user somebody made but decided to never use. I can only imagine how many out of 30,000 actually exist without ever doing anything.

I think you are underestimating things some.
Without thinking about it too much, I would guess that there are about 100 fairly active users. But the cutoff is arbitrary.
Maybe several hundred more either post/review pretty infrequently or just lurk. I dont see any way there could be less than this unless there are some unbelievably obsessive people here, or the hit counts arent right. This group does not include the people who were linked to this site for something like Forthe win's post and then never came back.
As for the number of active alters, I have no idea, but I really doubt they come close to outnumbering the active users.

On some point i considered it necessary to drive one (1) Alter.
Just recently i managed to get my average into positive numbers, and
was quite pleased with that. My alter also does some strange fly-by's on
