Some Things That Confuse Me (766 hits)

I'm not easily (read very easily) confused. I like to think of myself as a 'man that gets it'. But there are some things in this world that do strike me as puzzling, things that make my noodle work overtime.
Perhaps some of you have had the same feelings a time or two and would also like to share.
For starters I don't understand why people think Dane Cook is funny? I've seen his show and I know he's hot and blah blah blah but really all of his comedy seems to stem from him dancing around like a fairy and regurgitating things I've heard comedians say for years.
Label me boggled but why can't we just have one month off between one hockey season and the next? Forget the arguments about players breaking down...I mean if steroids and HGH can make the game of baseball better than lets start pumping our hockey players with them so we don't have this God awful down time where I'm stuck watching the previously mentioned baseball or Grand Master National American/South African Heads Up Ass Down Poker Championship of The Gods.
Since I quit my job and don't really have another lined up I figured what better time to buy a new laptop. So I'm all looking around and shit and I know its amazing but A LOT of companies sell laptops (go figure) but....not many of them are selling many models with Windows XP, they are all selling Vista. Now I don't know too much about them computy boxes but apparently not a lot of things are compatible with this Vista or whatever and apparently its going to be some time before that actually happens and everything is kosher again. So why, and I'm speaking to you directly, why would these hardware companies pigeon hole themselves like that? I'd buy today (well I did but I paid a lot more than I wanted to) or am I just way off base here?
John From Cincinnati - don't fucking ruin it for me, and I say that in jest because I don't have much of a clue what's going on anyway, but I haven't watched last nights show yet and I'm hoping for some goddamn answers as to what in the holy fuck is going on with the goddamned Yost family.
Why do I curse so much? Well its probably because I'm dumb and have a small vocabulary but in those times of dire need....when you truly have to express something, I don't care what the fuck your level of vocabulary is...nothing suffices like a good ole SHIT or FUCK.

Dane Cook's popularity stems from the fact that he's boiling with so much charisma and energy that he fills entire stadiums just with himself. Yeah, honestly, he makes my gaydar go off the goddamn charts. He dances around like a little fairy, but he does it in such a way that makes people like him.

I was ready to -2 your ass- I dopn't really read ANY posts, I just look for the word "Shlongy" and rate accordingly - but I agree with you on:
1) Dane Cook- he's not funny, at all. I'd like to punch him in the face.
B) John From Cincinnati - I have NO idea what the fuck is going on - ever - but I watch it religiously every week. I think Rebecca De Mornay needs a Midol...she needs to learn EST...She needs to relax...and she needs to fuck Shlongy.
I DON'T agree with you on:
3) Hockey players - especially the 48 guys who make it to the Cup finals - need even MORE time off before the start of the next season commences.
The solution might be to SHORTEN THE FUCKING REGULAR SEASON.
Perhaps, one of these decades, Gary Bettman will do ONE fucking thing right.
Other than that, fuck off.

I don't know who Dane Cook is. One of my favourite comedians is a guy called Danny Bhoy. he's scottish. which is amazing since scottish people in general just aren't that funny.

Dane Cook: The man has hit the "pop" jackpot, like every other talentless hack before him. There is no other logical explanation for people liking him so much. The same argument can be used for Hilton, Rapper Flavor of the Week, Mencia, reality shows, America's Next _____, etc. These people are just in the right place at the right time doing something that the American public finds amusing. The only good thing about this is they dont' last very long before they are replaced.
Don't know hockey.
The same thing has been said about Windows 2000, 98, 95, 3.1, etc. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
I have no idea who John from Cin. is.
