Number one rule of science: if an experiment doesn't work twice, it's bullshit.
I place the remote back in exactly the same position, sit down in the recliner, and stretch my palm towards it. Nothing happens.
Before I can react (negatively, for sure), something vibrates under my ass. I fish my cell phone out of my back pocket... Gen is on the phone.
"'Sup, g?"
"Nothing, Gen. I think I have telekinesis."
"Nice... you'll never believe how face-meltingly hot this bitch I just met was." Note to self: Gen is probably not gay.
"Where are you at?"
"A-Z Comics, son. I'm picking up the latest issue of Walking Dead, and fuckin'," he pauses, as if overwhelmed. "This mixed chick is buying the same exact thing."
Sounds pretty grim already... "Did you work your game on her?"
Gen pauses, this time disappointed. "Nah, dude, she was so hot... my package (he pronounces this Frenchly: 'pah-kahj') caught on fire, on the spot." Phew, I tell myself. Even if it was Faro, Gen's suaveness failed him for once.
More chewing fat, mostly about nothing. I don't tell Gen how I met Faro and got her number and how I'm totally going to conquer her vaj... I'll save it for after the fact.
I hang up the phone and stretch my hand towards my remote. The remote darts to my hand, almost hurting as it slaps against my palm. There's a trick to this, I'll have to investigate later...
...after I listen to smooth jazz on the Weather Channel for ten minutes.
