Actually I know why, and I am listing them in no particular order:.
1. Overrun by teenage idiots.
2. Overrun by talentless, uncreative, and immature twits.
3. Overrun by racists, sexists, and supremacists.
4. Overrun by a diseased new-age fixated on material and petty things.
5. Overrun by elitists who in their own right are mentally void of a single original thought.
6. Overrun by spammers, slammers, and cammers.
I am stopping here, and far be it from me to suddenly break into some nostalgic rant about "how great things used to be," and "how things have all gone down hill," but the truth of the matter is, Ubersite has changed... for the worse.
Whether or not I will be sticking around, and whether or not it makes any difference to anyone, I don't really know, much less care.
Ubersite needs to change - has to change or it will continue to spiral further and further down into this never-ending cesspool of idiocy and enmity.
Stop GPF, bandwagons and all that other color-coordinated bullshit; stop spamming and flaming because you've had a bad day and need somewhere to release your middle-age frustration.
Stop screaming and fighting - as if you don't get enough of it at school, or work, or home, and simply chill the fuck out.
Contribute things worthwhile; contribute thought and expression, idea and art, not bitter insult and depraved ramblings of a small and stupid mind.

We do UGR2 and half the people bitch at the quality written work that is produced from it.
We do Stick Figure Bandwagon and half the people bitch at the hysterical images produced from it.
We do APW: Some love it, some hate it. It has merit but is rarely entertaining.
We do GPF: Some love it, some hate it. It is entertaining but rarely has merit.
Anything that has "Uber" or "NSFW" in the title is sure to get over 500 hits.
Anything that has "Part 5" or "Poetry" in the title is sure to get under 500 hits.

I dont think your list is very accurate- here are my impressions.
1. Overrun by teenage idiots- no. if anything, less teenagers than on the internet in general.
2. Overrun by talentless- maybe. too much of a judgement call to say for sure.
uncreative- no. i think ubersite is actually fairly creative, given the limitations.
immature- maybe. but the zero consequence effect could account for this.
3. Overrun by racists- no
sexists- probably not, mostly just kidding around.
supremacists- no
4. Overrun by a diseased new-age fixated on material and petty things- no

cammers- not really all that many
Stop GPF, bandwagons - yes, but very easy to avoid
Contribute things worthwhile; contribute thought and expression, idea and art- considering how little people get for contributing, I dont think it is surprising at all that most people dont give this site their best creative effort.
Overall I think your rant is probably more reflective of your dislikes of people in general than of ubersite.

My user ID is more than an order of magnetude greater than yours, but I can still say this: Ubersite is but a reflection of the real world. Change happens here and in the real world, and you either keep up or anchronate (a new word I just made up, means 'to become lost in the past'). "Uber isn't the same as it was..." sounds as lame as "Ahhhh, these kids today, with their hair and their clothes...".
You mission, should you choose to accept it, is to TAKE BACK UBERSITE! Rather than just complaining, that is.
