I was off on a dream.
Sitting down on a bench.
Movements seemed too slow for real life - involuntary.
My mouth opens.
I speak but it's not my voice.
I can only listen.
It was no one's voice.

and the stories we told reminded of home.

as you cough and you choke and die in disgrace.

I awoke this morning.
As I always do,
