We have this place called Science City out here. They took the old historic Union Station (http://www.unionstation.org/intro.cfm) and turned it into a museum/attraction thingy. Science City is housed in that.
Some time ago, they had an exhibition that was a lot like this. It had a giant intestine, ear, and nose for kids to crawl around in. For instance, the nose had tiny little cilia hairs, and so help me--mucus (not really but some kind of plastic made to look like it).
I went with my boyfriend and his 3 year old daughter. Talk about disturbing. I was more interested in watching all these little kids run around in giant body parts. It had a surreal quality to it.
"Daddy! Lookie! Booooooogers! Teeheehee!"
