10th September 2007
So many words flying through my head
I re-read the books until my eyes bled.
Leptons, protons, the universe so cool
It's just not so good with the maths to the 'rule'
Planck showed us objects absorb & emit light
The guy is now dead, who says he was right?
Then there was Einstein, I used to like him
Now his equation is clever, but shows that I'm dim.
The universe is expanding, at least so they all say
Right now I don't care I want through with today
I've sat at my desk with my head in my hands
I've ignored the phone and cancelled all plans
Assignment is due, in three days from now
I've forgotten what's what, where's when and ways how..
Geology my dream is a place in the past
This first year's quantum PHYSICS and OH what a blast!
I want to talk rocks and soil and of plants
They've given me radiation, creation and quarks
I'll finish this paper in three days from now
With a few more grey hairs and a troubled brow
Until then please think of this idiot right here
Who's trying not to cry, collapse or show fear
Next year is biology, thank GOD then I'll care
But right now its quantum mechanics to bear.

Merlina - best of luck with the physics. I hated every minute of my two physics classes, and barely squeaked out a C in both. Thank goodness I don't need them for anything I do in my job.

yep. Decided to do a degree in Geology at the healthy age of 36. Am 37 now and feel 47. I knew the first year formation would cover all science but out of ten assignments, five have been physics and I am AWFUL at physics.
