I'm not quite sure who that is, but +1 anyway because Terry Jones of Monty Python wrote my History text, "Medieval Lives" (I shit you not)

The books bored the hell out of me, when I say 'The Books' I actually mean the one that I tried once, then realised that it was part of some never ending saga and gave up.

Still, wouldnt wish death on anybody.

He may be missed, or people may not give a toss.

I'm a member of the latter party.

I never bothered reading the wheel of time series. I like reading, and I love a long book, but comeon!

This +2 is my support for your decision to be a lazy fuck and not use candles and a border.

his books needed a good editor. seriously i could have edited some of those reasonably effectively with a pair of scissors.

if you read the blog entry on dragonmount, or any other place that had any details, you know that he literally worked on the final book from his deathbed by dictation of audio and video, and left a ton of notes behind, including a family meeting where he told his wife, brother, daughter, and others exactly how the story ends and all the things he was going to wrap up.

The publication of the final book has been left to the discretion of his wife and editor at Tor Books.

We'll find out how the story ends.

Well then rest in peace you longwinded sonuva-bitch.

He was working on book 240 of the Wheel of Time Saga as the time he died. He had a stroke when he realized that he could only tie up all the loose ends in his tales if he lived to be 11,541 years old.
