Preparation:
I have lived on the fringes of society for my whole life, never quite fitting in and being part of the group. This experience has made me stronger as I have had to fight, not physically, and grow harder within myself to carry on. I know how the weak feel and it is for them that I do this.
I've never kept a diary before but in this instance I believe it to be paramount to my success. I need to record the changes and failures, if any that happen to me during my period of metamorphosis. I am sure of my goal and know that I will achieve it.
The weak need a defender and it will be me.
Day 1:
I have returned from my run and I am ready to begin with the first stage of my change. I have kept my body in peak physical fitness for the purposes of this.
I have extracted what I needed from the spiders and have it waiting in front of me as I write. When I put down my pen I shall pick up the syringe and inject myself with the serum I have created. The first part of my change is for powers like a spider. For this I have captured and kept 20 house spiders and have been feeding them on hormone enriched flies.
Before my run I painstakingly removed their internal juices by means of a very small needle and syringe. These I mixed with a saline solution and placed in my model paint shaker. All the spiders were alive when I carried out the procedure as I believe it has to be as fresh as possible.

Day 2:
Yesterday I injected my spider serum into the main vein on my arm, I am sure I could look up its name but find it pointless to do so at this time, I shall re write my notes properly when I am complete.
I felt a painful sensation as the serum travelled up my arm and started sweating and breathing heavily for a period of 1 hour. I was close to calling for medical assistance but my belief in my purpose stopped me.
The pain has subsided but I find that I am not breathing well today so have not been able to go for my run. I need to prepare for my next step but feel rather weak at present.
This was to be expected.

Day 3:
I am breathing more easily today and so have been able to go on a run and do some light weight exercises. My body feels stronger already and I am sure my grip was strengthening around the weights as I held them, it almost felt sticky.
I have lost a day in my programme but it is not something to worry about. Today I shall be preparing and injecting the cat serum. This is one of the parts I was least looking forward to but I reconcile it in my mind that my purpose is noble and right.
The little finger on my left hand is starting to turn black.

The preparation of the cat serum leaves me sad indeed. It made noises that broke my heart. The first part was to remove the vitreous humour from its eyes whilst it still lived. This I have now done and it's ready for me to inject when I finish writing. I shall inject this beside my eyes, one at a time; the hope is for it to enhance my eyesight.
I will spare the journal what I did with the rest of the poor animal as it is horrendous for me to remember. I have secured a serum for my cat like ability to move and land on my feet. This I will inject in the same manner that I did the spider serum.

Day 4:
My right eye burns and I have had to cover it. I will not be able to write much today as my whole body aches and my breathing is very hard.
I cannot feel my left little finger, and other fingers are turning black.
I heard someone moving close by today.

Day 5:
My right eye is swollen but coming down now. I am regaining my sight but find light very hard to bear, this I see as a good development as it show my eye becoming more sensitive. I shall be injecting the remains of the serum beside my left eye later today.
My breathing is still rather uncomfortable so I have been unable to go for a run or do weight exercises for 2 days.

Day 6:
My rihgt eye h as ome down a lot adn I can see, almost. My lfet is very sore and swollen. Breath very ha ard. No run or wiegth today.

Day 8:
I was unable to write yesterday.
My eyes have returned to normal, although I find myself very sensitive to light. I have been unable to exercise for 5 days now. I have found dark bruises on my chest and have observed similar type marks on my back. My whole body aches and I find it hard to focus or move.
I can hear people talking, but they are too far away to hear me.

Day 9:
My right eye has turned red, blood red. I think I can see the pupil has changed into a more feline shape. My breathing is laboured but I must complete my final preparation for the change. I should have done this on day 7 but was unable to.
My body is turning black with bruises. I can hardly lie down without experiencing pain.
I will be removing the poison from 5 scorpions in order to develop an offensive weapon. I will then mix this with a saline solution and inject this as in previous methods.
I would hope to do this when I am stronger but I cannot delay any longer.

I feel pain all over my body. It takes all I have to be able to write. Oh Christ I need help but don't want to pick up the phone. I need................

My right eye has burst. I cannot explain the pain. I have the remains of my shattered eye coming down my face. My left is still sore but intact.
What the fuck have I done to myself?
I have company now.
My left arm, which I have been injecting, is limp by my side and the paralysis is travelling slowly up it. It is going black completely. I am going to call for help.

Day 11:
I can still see? Thank Christ I can still see. I have been unable to move since my last entry. As I went to call for an ambulance I collapsed and fell unconscious. I awoke today which I believe to be day 11 but cannot be sure until I check a calendar.
My Left eye burst during the time I was out. But I can still see. I can see better than I have ever been able to see.
My whole body is black and my veins show though in a dark red. Pain wracks me every time I breathe and move.
They told me to be strong.

Day 15:
I am stronger now.
I feel............Well I feel Strong.
I have more to discover. They think I should try going outside.

Day 16:
I went out this morning before it was light.
I killed a dog, it wasn't meant to happen but it did. They didn't mind that it happened though.
My eyes prefer it when it is dark.

Day 17:
I am powerful.
I think they are right. I shouldn't waste this on the weak.
I just want the headaches to subside.
