It sounds extremely gay...Are they some kind of novelty cartoon band like the Gorillas that only 14-year-old emo kids like?

It's probably the best metal album of the year. It's supposed to be a satire on death metal bands from the show Metalocalypse. Brendon Smalls (creator of the old show Home Movies) and Gene Hoglan (from Death and Strapping Young Lad) decided to make an album out of it, and ironically, is actually better than most death metal albums.
