yeah, so i searched my own name.
anyway, the reason people dont like criticism is that they dont actually want it. people dont come to a website for it. theyre writing her for the fun of it, and also the social interaction and gratification of having people give them praise. and to be perfetly honest - good on them.
i occasionally tame a few minutes to write criticism because it entertains me - i actually enjoy giving someone a genuine opinion of their work and what was wrong with it. (you learn from mistakes far more than the things you did right) however, i dont expect anyone to listen to what i say, and in fact i assume most people will not only ignore me, but actively dislike what i had to say to them. c'est la vie.

ATTN Kaos-King and TTOM:
Due to the fruition of not-fully-expected-yet-forseen-as-possible circumstances (work requires my presence elsewhere), I will not have time to write in the next round. I noted that TTOM had offered to fill any vacancy in round two, and so we find opurselves presented with an opportunity. Capitalizing on it, I regretfully withdraw from this round and declare TTOM the winner of our little round one contest. In my opinion, his story is better anyway. I think they call that 'sweet grapes'.

last night after i left the bar my friend (who i drove there) called me and asked if I had his keys. I checked my pockets and the seat he was in when we drove there but i didn't see them, so i said 'no'.
a few seconds later he called me back all pissed off, pretty confident that I had his keys. I told him to fuck off and that i didn't have his stupid fucking keys. Then I asked if he was sure he brought them because he didn't even drive. He was pretty sure he brought them. Then he started yelling at me for leaving him at the bar. That was my bad, but i was pissed about getting yelled at for having his keys, which i in fact did not have.
I got home and got a text message from him telling me to give him his fucking keys back.. i replied 'fuck you' and went to bed.
This morning when I got in the car to come to work, I found his keys in my cup holder

Keep TheUniter's ratings...is my advice. I've never seen her (C-cups, you know) rate dishonestly, except when she's joking. TheUniter = Zebra, and he's a dude actually. Recall, however, that I thought Desolate_Misanthrope was McCallum. Hmm, maybe I never made that public.

Kaos, I'm responding to your comment on the other post:
I actually did explain my rating on her post, albeit in less detail than to you.
Art is subjective, and I'm no teacher. That's why I usually don't give an opinion unless I'm asked.
Forensic is just being a crybaby. I swear to God it's because of that single -1 I gave her like, a YEAR AGO. If I can find it I'll give anyone $100 if they can find her complaining about me BEFORE that review.
The fact is, some people actually get mad sometimes when they're rated poorly.
I've seen iddqd and zebra and some others I can't remember at the moment give out pretty detailed reviews with constructive criticism, but since some people don't like them for whatever reason they bitch about being critiqued.
So I mostly just rate with no comment. People will whine, anyway. That's what people do.
If I leave comments they will still whine.
Not everyone, of course. But quite a few.
I think it's funny, actually. It's part of what makes things entertaining. If someone gets mad, that does make me egg them on sometimes.
But I usually don't change a rating just because someone expresses a dislike for me.
I mean, ChaosJester follows me around with Fuck the Uniter all the time, (which is kinda funny) but I'm pretty sure I rate his stories fairly well because he's a decent writer. I don't care so much for camwhores and dumb shit or stuff that was just googled, but that's my taste and I don't apologize for it. I like what I like.
Anyway, it's perfectly fine to negate my ratings in the contest, and I'll even promise not to vote for the duration if you nullify ALL my ratings thus far.
Mainly because I gave McCallum a +2 and I think it would be funny if you took it away because of FG and he lost by a slim margin in round one.
At least that would be funny.
