1. Howard Roark from Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead. Why? Mostly for raping an architechtural tycoon's journalist daughter and having her fall in love with him. Also, for objectivism.
2. Gus McCrae from Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove. Why? Mostly for his love of whores and whiskey, but also for the gunfighting...
3. Beowulf. Why? Mostly for kicking Grendel's ass, but also for kicking the ass of Grendel's mother and the dragon.
