So I can draw. I think/hope I can, whatever. Anyway, I've drawn all of three (two men and one woman) things in the past five years until about three weeks ago when I started taking my first art classes since highschool. But at my highschool I dunno if you could really count that as class cuz all I really did was steal art supplies and tell dirty jokes.
I've been mostly disappointed with the college art class cuz the teacher believes completely in experimentation to learn and not in teaching technique at all which is what I'd like. It's also apparently what quite a few other students were hoping to get out of the class but oh well, he's the one grading us.
The drawing and watercolor combo is what this drawing is from. I'm infinitely happier with this class cuz the teacher shows us, then says ok now you do it and play around until you get it the way you want. I completed my first ever watercolor two weeks ago unless you want to count crayola when I was 5.
Obviously this is incomplete, I dunno if I'll finish it next week I kinda like it like this. Anyway, I'm mildly proud of this and thought I would share, feel free to crush my spirits.
Sidenote: her boobs are uneven cuz this woman had a partial mastectomy 12 years ago as part of breast cancer treatment.

actually angel dear, mr hurty pointed out the ouline thing too to me. i can draw without outlines, i just don't. unless i'm told to display a certain technique (which i highly doubt will happen in these clases) that's how i draw. it's how i paint too. i can't do photorealism, but i know the "proper" idea about no harsh outlines.
i know human anatomy pretty well too, for obvious and not so obvious reasons :D
i'm disappointed that he's not going to show us how to shade in textures like hair or leather or wood. that's what i actually want to learn.

It's pretty good, although I am disappointed that your prof isn't showing you the push and pull method of outline drawing, and that they haven't gone over the basics of human musculoskeletal structure.
