I'm a middle class white guy and I'm pissed off.
The Jena Six is a fucked up social experiment that the media has created. The topic has been tickled to death by media, the NAACP, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and every other dipshit with a cause and here I am enabling it. It's like a fucking science project where the kid scrapped the idea for "The Life of a Butterfly" diorama and decided to use the cliché volcano instead.

Mychal Bell is in jail again. That's the gist of the link above. Apparently, he violated his probation from a previous conviction. Should be open and shut, right? No, because we've got shitheels like Sharpton, still fighting the good fight and saying shit like this:
"We feel this was a cruel and unusual punishment and is a revenge by this judge for the Jena Six movement," said Sharpton, who helped organize the protest held Sept. 20, the day Bell was originally supposed to be sentenced.
That's great Al. Are you familiar with the concept of probation? Is that perm affecting your thought process? I know that you're a smart and charismatic guy. I can appreciate that you're fighting for a cause that you believe is right. You know what? I even agree with you that the kids that single-handedly brought back the hanging noose as a form of expression were under-punished. They should have been expelled.

It's so fucking aggravating, having to read this shit everyday since it's been sensationalized. And I don't HAVE to read it; I HAVE to read it because I'm curious as to what's going to be portrayed next.
Bell's parents were also ordered to pay all court costs and witness costs, Sharpton said.
"I don't know what we're going to do," Jones said. "I don't know how we're going to pay for any of this. I don't know how we're going to get through this."
Well, you should've thought about that when, I don't know, when you were raising your fucking kid. Teach them the difference between right and wrong.
Right = Standing up for what you believe in.
Wrong = Stomping a mud-hole in some kid, when you've got numbers on your side.
Your right to stand up for your beliefs ends at the other guy's nose. It's a time-honored colloquialism.
Now, onto the noose-fuckers, which strangely sounds like capital punishment for a penis:
I am not living in a state of denial. Hate exists everywhere. Where the fuck WERE these kids' parents? If I did some shit like this when I was in high school my mom would've punched me in the face. I mooned a teacher one time during a class photo. That's funny and we laugh about it now. But there was nothing funny about it when I had to tell my mom why I was suspended.
Now nooses are being tied up everywhere. Every time that a noose pops up, Rupert Murdoch gets a boner in some twisted, "It's a Wonderful Life" type, media frenzied attack on the senses. People that like tying knots should be seamen. A fucking gaggle of retards walking hand-in-hand through a minefield of social issues is what passes for entertainment these days. That's what this really is; it's something to pass the time until the next scandal, and the next...
Nothing ever gets done. So what type of recourse is offered if some idiot ties rope into a familiar method of execution? It's made into an oppressive - in all senses of the word - scandal. That's the only recourse because it's not a crime! Poor taste, a little crude and slightly insensitive, but not a crime.
Al and Jesse: What are you protesting? Is it that these kids hung the nooses? Were the Jena Six justified in a six-on-one barrage? And then there's this comment that the media keeps focusing on:
Barker was treated for three hours at an emergency room but was able to attend a school function that evening, authorities have said.
As if that makes it OK. His emergency room visit was only three hours and he was able to leave to attend a school function later, so...
I'm done rambling. I guess that it makes sense that all of this is going on in Louisiana. Louisiana is an armpit having sex with a cesspool.
Fuck the Jena Six. Fuck the noose people. Fuck Jesse. Fuck Al, especially his perm.

My point is, and it is not one made with any force or vitriol, is that if you don't like the message the man, or the people, is/are spouting, either spout something back, or change the channel. No one's making you listen to the mouthpieces, thank goodness.

Sharpton is very eager to pull the persecution card. Racially motivated were the actions of the kids that hung the nooses. But 6 black kids that beat down the white kid was the same thing, different flavor. Neither side is right.
I think that I mostly enraged with Sharpton calling Bell's sentencing retribution to the "movement's" actions. No. He was a repeat offender that was on probation at the time of the incident. I don't understand why he feels that he is right in thinking that Bell shouldn't be incarcerated.
I would organize protests, marches, press conferences and such if I had the charisma to do so. Plus, I'm lazy and apathetic. This website is my outlet today. The homeless guy begging on Ritchie Highway this evening will be my outlet later.

Probably, it's the hormones in our food. Fucks up the fetuses around the world. I think it's just the nature of the beast, really. Most of us Yanks push for free speech and whatnot, and as long as we do so, we're gonna have mouthpieces like Al Sharpton. I'm not saying the man's a crusader and martyr, or anything, as he seems to only show up where he's gonna get his face on the most screens, but he IS pushing a cause.
And who's to say he doesn't actually view this as another symptom of the plight of the black American? I think the possibility alone grants him the right to step in front of as many cameras as he wants. The rest of us can do that, too. I think if I were a minority, I might want someone publicly recognizable on my side...although I don't think Sharpton's serving that purpose right now. Also, remember, Sharpton's not the only one getting on the cameras and microphones over this...most of the news sources I regularly consume focus more on the public at large, and the protests.

We had an interesting conversation in my lit class the other day about how - in America, at least - only white people can actually be racist. Everybody else can be prejudice, but since whites have more money, more power, more political control, they are the real racists. Racism = Prejudice + Power.

I think if more kids got a little ass-beating once in a while, they would think better about their actions.
