Yeah I watched some domestic cricket in Australia and played in game in Sydney and they were rubbish, really boring and non eventful. Naturally I got lots of abuse which was fun, well not fun, but that just lasted for the 5 hours we played.....
If we (England) could sort out why our players get injured so much and finally get a decent guy in charge, i.e get rid of Graveney,Moores and half of the board we would have a chance of challanging Australia.

cricket is no fun to watch now. we're just going to win. yeah its arrogant but thats how it is now. strangely enough it should mean our domestic comps should be avidly watched, but its sadly not the case. we're much happier to pay through the nose to watch our national team thrash teams 5-0, 4-1, winning matches by innings than we are to see some actual competitive cricket.

I play left wing because I actually am left-footed. my Dad used to play left-back when he was in school in Manchester. I met some of my Manc uncles last year, and the first thing they asked about Dad was "Does he still play? Is he still a dirty bastard?" At the start of this year we were having a kickabout and my girlfriend (again talking about the girlfriend on uber, my god I'm cool) joined in. He caught her going for a tackle and injured her ankle.

i tend to gravitate toward left mid, or left front. being a point guard most of my life makes me enjoy passing and ive got pretty decent court (or field) vision. i gravitate toward left because im a weak kick with either foot, and theres not many people who have a left foot, so i figure i may as well go over there, im about the same on either side.
i think the team is french's forest. at least all the guys im playing with are originally from that area.

actually im surprisingly not bad at the game. i trained with a mates team a couple years back (he was playing local 2nd divison or reserves - whatever is the one below premier) and could hold my own. strangely enough basketball and soccer are quite similar in the way they are played and the actual use of the ball isnt as important as knowing how to move yourself. though im playing with my housemates team and they are the thugs of the comp, so i should be sweet.
