I like Black but he doesn't have the mental stability.

Lewis Black is too high-strung to be President. He would crack spectacularly under the pressure and have an epic meltdown/cerebral hemorrhage, most likely on live television.
I would vote for him just to see that, actually.

Carlin was funny. Now he's just a crotchety old man.
Black is occasionally funny, but the "b-b-b-FUCK!" schtick was old five years ago.
I wouldn't vote for either of them for the same reason I wouldn't vote for Jesse Jackson: Being vociferous in your dissent with the current leadership doesn't make you qualified to be a leader. It just makes you more popular with people who already agree with you.
