Well that depends on whom you ask. If you asked every last one of my friends, who are all over 25 and love Georgia football as much if not more than I do, the answer would be a resounding yes.
Or you could ask my 59 year old parents, who put aside any acrimonious feelings left over from their divorce 18 years ago to go together and watch Clemson play football every weekend in the fall.
So I don't really know about people you might hang out with, but in my world it's a little different.

Yeah, I know - I'm one of them. My point was, you dimwit, is that there are millions of people who identify with their alma mater through college sports for their entire lifetime. Why do you think that so many alumni give their alma mater's athletes money, cars, hookers and jobs while risking a suspension (or worse, see SMU's death penalty)? Its because they want their team to win.
So your question, "Does anybody over 25 care about college football" demonstrates a complete unfamiliarity with the entire subject.

i dont know. i enjoy a good deuce too but i love going to football games. i am not part of the demographic you asked about, but at 21, if you put a football (or baseball, hockey, basketball, rugby, soccer, volleyball, swim meet, etc) game on in front of me, i am helplessly drawn in.
my dad explained to me one time on the way to a brewers game why sports matter so much to him, and it was actually a really enlightening explanation, but i dont remember exactly what he said anymore. it basically amounted to the fact that everybody needs some sort of outlet, whether it's sports, theater, basket weaving, or whatever. the older we get, i guess, the more important it is for us to have something to invest ourselves in emotionally that will distract us from our lives. it's actually very unhealthy for a person not to have this sort of outlet, even if for you it's taking a nice dump.
i guess that explains cubs fans, too.
