Give credit where credit is due: This is inspired by the first line of Merlina's post: "There is nothing odder than seeing yourself on TV - as an eight year old." Well, I didn't see myself on TV at eight (that story's for my ninth year memoir). Instead, my gargantuan visage was plastered on multiple billbords throughout Knoxville in support of the upcoming vote on adding flouride to the City water supply. Your tap water. I had no clue what it was all about, but I do remember the photog showing up one day while I was swinging at the park and, after a brief chat with the female parental, taking some shots of me. Not too long after, this started showning up on full size billboards all over town. I really thought I had hit the big time...
Guess I tasted my 15 min. early on, Andy.
