Notepad is a great program. Have any of you ever used it?
For instance, if you copy your excel documents into Notepad and then post it somewhere else all of those annoying cell issues will cease to exist. It's like notepad is your own personal translator!
Not only that, but get this: Notepad can also single-handedly edit all of your web pages.
That's right! Notepad can not only edit your web pages, but you can even create new web pages using Notepad! Amazing, right?
Well, what's amazing is Notepad. Sure, it's a no frills word processor, but once you start using Notepad, you'll never look back.
"But I can't bold my text!" says one pussy. Who needs to bold text? The very idea of bolding text is very racist and extremely derogatory. Not to mention those faggots who put their text in italics.
Like SOME text is MORE IMPORTANT than some OTHER text. Pure word BIGOTRY, I say.
I'll tell you what dog; Notepad comes standard with every version of Windows ever made. Talk about compliance and functionality! Notepad works on every version of every computer that has ever been produced in the known universe in the last decade. No worry about "what version of Notepad am I running" or "where can I download the most recent update to Notepad?"
You are always running the best version of Notepad!
Notepad is a fine program, and this reviewer gives it:
****
FOUR STARS
of course, since you can't add clip art to Notepad, I'll have to give it four asterisks.
Viva NOTEPAD!

Allright, Wordpad is shit. It was developed in 1998. Fuck 1998! I don't know about you, but 1998 is just full of BAD MEMORIES for me. It is natural that Worpad was created on some date like this.
Meanwhile, notepad has no year of development. Plus, and please correct me if i am wrong uber-nerds; yoi can't edit HTML in wordpad, but you can in notepad.
If what I think is true then that makes Notepad
THE FATHER OF THE ENTIRE INTERNET
IOW,
NOTEPAD RULES.

back to farth damine's comment, wordpad don't do shit. It's notepad you need my friend. If you want my full-fledged review of wordpad, just ask, but I'm afraid it isn't going to get the same exemplary review I gave notepad.

I use notepad every chance I get. I use it for HTML, work, and anything else I can think of.
-----
I've stopped using it for most of my work and started using the software I linked below. One simple reason: Syntax highlighting. There is no easier way to spot that missing semicolon or the brackets you opened but forgot to close.
==============================
UltraEdit is good for this, too,

As much as I'd like to dispense with the BOM since XML has no use for it, I
think the case of Notepad points out a valid use case for keeping it. One of
the strengths of XML is that it is just text and any text editor can be used
to compose XML. A non-XML aware text editor, though, has no reliable way of
recognizing the character encoding of a file without a BOM. None of the
filesystems I know of support extended attributes that can identify the
character encoding of a text file, and every one of them is saddled with a
non-Unicode legacy for character encoding (ASCII, ISO-8859-1, whatever). If
we preclude the presence of a BOM in an XML entity, then we undermine the
utility of such generalized text editors for composing XML.

i'm ignoring you ei. Dear blt, if you could also include in your review, some mention of the CH Flightstick (R) as the peripheral of choice - of the day, you know for all the left, left, lefffftt feathering whilst cornering, the subtle nudging while slipstreaming, and the deft one button clicking for gear changes. and maybe some sort of scoring regime, like 4 stars out of what. of course Indianapolis 500 by Papyrus would get more than 4 stars, even out of 4. And then review Ikari Warriors. cheers.

Notepad doesn't handle character navigation correctly. Try holding the control key down and moving between words, it's all kinds of gonzo. Especially in source code.
